the service at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was great. Price was a good value. However, the rooms could definitely do with a makeover. Stained and worn furniture, antiquated tv, and somewhat shabby carpets detract from an otherwise pleasant hotel experience.

No, best jump on public transport and go to Sachsenhausen. Aim for Frankensteiner Platz. the area around there is very lively. Lots of Stags and Hen do's head there Friday and Saturday nights. This hotel is good for the financial district and a reasonable walk to all the shops, head for Hauptwache area. Hope this helps!
