As we were flying from Frankfurt to Asia at midday on the following day and unfortunately we cannot rely on a punctual arrival by train at the moment, we booked a night at the Hilton. The hotel is located right on top of the train station. If you enter the station main hall from the terminals, go to the right and the hotel entrance is at the end of the hall. I never thought an airport hotel could be that nice. Rooms are not too big, but well appointed, nice looking and bright. Staff are very nice as well.

The Hilton at the Frankfurt airport (FRA) is perfect for anyone having to catch a plane the next day and cannot get a train connection into the airport station in time. German trains almost always on time but - and if your plane fare is involved, it is a big ‘but’ - the system can have and does have periodic ‘Verspaetungen’ or delays which could mean you miss your plane even though the train should have arrived at FRA in plenty of time to check in. So, in those cases, I have used the Hilton and found it extremely comfortable, the restaurant for breakfast is more than adequate while dinner is less so. Frankfurt is not a town in which I would ever linger but if one must catch a plane and one does not trust the trains 101% to get in on time, it is a fine overnight.

After an 11-hour flight from Shanghai to Frankfurt, as a Hilton Gold member, I booked an overnight stay at Hilton Frankfurt Airport in an executive room to recover. Unfortunately, my stay there was anything but relaxing.
To the facts: The hotel is in itself excellently located if you make a stopover at the airport. In just five minutes you have arrived at the fully covered and soundproofed hotel on a dry foot from the airport building. The hotel is modern and well equipped.
Already at check-in, however, I was disappointed. The reception was cool, rushed and unwelcoming. I did not receive any information about the opening hours of the Executive Lounge or its offers. It was only later that I learned that the lounge had been closed for renovations and moved to another location – I was not informed of this either. In addition, I was not informed that my credit card would be charged the first night's room rate in addition to the deposit of €50 per night.
I was given a room on 9. I was assigned a room on a higher floor in my Honors Preferences. As an Honors Gold member, I expect my wishes to be taken into account, but no one seemed to care here.
However, the real disappointment came only when I entered the room. Instead of the booked executive room, which according to the description should have a separate shower and bathtub, I got a room without shower. It clearly did not meet the standard of an executive room. In response to my complaint, I only received the snappy answer: "Yes, this is our only executive room without a shower." There was no apology. Only after 40 minutes was I finally assigned the room I had originally reserved.
I will not list any other shortcomings, for example at breakfast.
Due to this negative experience, I see no reason to rebook this hotel on my next stay at the airport. I would also recommend it only to my enemies – and never to my friends.

This hotel has spacious, modern, and comfortable rooms and is an easy 10 minute walk to/from the Frankfurt airport. Additional pluses include a good breakfast, a pleasant lobby bar, and a great gym. Staff is well intentioned and friendly, if a bit green, at least those we interacted with. The executive lounge is a disappointment, however, with boring, uninspired, tired offerings. If you were thinking of staying here for plane spotting purposes, look elsewhere as few rooms have runway views. Convenience is the main draw. As a Hilton Diamond member, my “upgraded” room, announced in an email which made it seem like I’d won the lottery, was a room just like any other except for the fact it gave me lounge access, something I have anyway, which made it seem like a silly ruse. And even worse given what was served there. The Hilton Garden Inn next door, apparently run in tandem with the Hilton is, in my estimation, a much better value as you have access to the same gym although the rooms are smaller.

We stayed in the Hilton Frankfurt Airport in January of this year and had a lovely time. The travel itinerary for our summer trip had changed and we found ourselves in the need of a hotel room close to the airport again. Since we previously had such a positive experience, we opted for the Hilton Frankfurt Airport again and now our experience has sadly changed and I have lost all trust in this hotel. A few days ago, I had received an email from the hotel stating that they were not able to pre-authorise 2 Euros from the credit card I had supplied. I made sure that there is much more than just 2 Euros on that card but the hotel stated that they were still not able to take the charge and suggested that there might be some restrictions on that card. Upon checking with my bank, I confirmed to the hotel that there are no restrictions and that another hotel I have booked for an earlier stay did not have any problems taking a pre-authorisation payment. I suspect that the hotel already tried the charge the full amount which I didn't make available on that card due to potential further itinerary changes. Because of that, I had booked a fully flexible rate and not a non-refundable rate. Although I was still waiting for a reply from the hotel, they emailed me yesterday telling me that they have cancelled my booking. When I contacted them and asked them why they didn't at least reply to email first in which I explained that this is not a card or bank issue, they just said I could just rebook. Really?? Does the hotel really think that after this, I still would wish to stay with them? We had a great experience in January but sorry: No! That is very bad customer service. I have now complained to their head office as they also wouldn't give me the email address of their General Manager and I have booked another similar hotel. It's a shame that the hotel let's itself down like this.

As we had missed our flight out of FRA and our luggage had been lost, we had to find accommodation last minute for an over night stay. We booked/paid online and arrived quite late. The service from the Night Manager was faultless. He processed us straight away and provided us with a few extra bathroom items seeing we had just our carry on bags and the clothes we arrived in, all with warmth and friendliness. The breakfast the next morning was excellent value and the staff in the restaurant were all very friendly and efficient.

As to expect from airport-close facilities, this is a very expensive hotel. I've spent nearly €500 on a "Hilton King" for an overnight stay. The rooms have inferior, low-grade furniture, no style at all, the bathroom is equipped with mediocre care products (no vanity sets etc., so make sure you have everything you need at hand). Room-service was not offered during our stay, so we had to buy pizza and drinks from a downstairs airport store. I know this is not a place to book for a fun vacation in the first place, but even so, the prices do not justify a single thing here. On the positive side, the room was very quiet, the bed comfortable, and you couldn't even hear the aircraft or Autobahn close by.

I do not know if this was due to Covid measures: Hotel lobby is hot in summer and cold in winter; not very inviting Reception staff not particularly friendly or helpful Rooms are clean and sound-proof (important when you stay at the airport!) but rather small and just average business hotel style Breakfast service was reduced to brown bags to-go (I guess that is because of Covid) Restaurant closed, you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with an almost deserted airport Good WiFi

The hotel is really a nice modern clean hotel, it makes you feel really safe the fact that they have a partnership with Lysol all rooms are sealed until you arrive, plenty of hand disinfectant stations, adds informing you what to expect and what to do during your stay, clean, spotless and you feel safe. The food for dinner was tasteless and not good asparagus tortellini dry, lack of parmesan cheese, cease salad almost no sauce, club sandwich WAS GREAT. Front desk people not well trained and not professional, I don't speak German so I asked questions in English and the girl there keep answering them in German...🙈😒 The parking rate should be based in a 24 hour stay.
