Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The hotel is really simple, the rooms are small and breakfast is served in the basement. The elevator seems to take forever.
The absolute plus point of the hotel is its location - practically a stone's throw from the historic center, everything is within easy walking distance.

Very good value for money
Small but comfortable hotel
The location is a 5-minute walk from the Romer, which is the strong point of this establishment. Everything is within walking distance, historic city center and more recent part.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
Small downside on the insulation of the corridor.

Me and my friend stayed here for 3 nights for euro 2024 football tournament, and it wasnt cheap, £448 for 2 of us.
Check in was straight forward and the hotel is on a main road but in a decent location, a 2 min walk from the dom romer train station.

On arrival to our room the first thing we noticed was how small the room is, 2 single beds pushed together, 1 wardrobe and a tv.
We could cope with that so not a huge problem but not ideal as literally no room to move around.

The bathroom was a steady size tbh.. loo, sink and shower ( that is tiny ). One thing we noticed is you couldnt change the water temp in the shower, or change the height of the shower head, it was like it was glued in one position.

One thing that wasnt great and its the reason its getting a 3 star.
The above i can live with, but the rooms are small so we ate some food on the bed, a little bit went on the bed, when the cleaner came the next day, she just chucked the cover off, threw it on the floor but never changed the bed. She changed the towels but the room wasnt cleaned or bin emptied.

Deffo wouldnt return

I stayed at Miramar Hotel for 3 nights in Feb 2025 for a business trip, I got my room in the afternoon, and the moment I got the room, I saw that the mattress sank in the middle, and I felt the spring in the back. I called the front desk guy, and he took pictures and said that his manager would fix it the next day. innocently every day, I got a different excuse: the tress was not replaced. check the pictures attached. Do not waste your money staying in this hotel.

Not only did this hotel get hacked and take $300 out of my bank account and forced me to get a new bank card. I arrive and was turned away at check in because of a “ water issue”. They charged my card 24 hours ago, I arrived 2 hours prior to check in, why at any of those points was I not told about this problem. They then tried to rebook book me at a 1 star hotel in a bad part of town that is $100 cheaper than them a night so they could pocket my money. I am beyond disappointed and it ruined my only night in Frankfurt. Will absolutely not refer this hotel and frankly will not return to this city. We were left without a hotel on the busiest weekend of the Christmas market.

I had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night because of the bed bugs in my room! The receptionist had zero empathy, like nothing happened. He said it's my problem, not the hotel’s. I had to call other hotels to ask if there was availability. I have never experienced such strong stress as that night.
The next day I came back to ask for a refund but the receptionist lied to me that the manager was busy and I had to come at 4 pm and without him, they couldn't return the money.
At 4 pm I came back again and there was a new receptionist who wasn't aware of the situation and he didn't know where was the manager. Basically, they can only text him, not call. The receptionist was ignorant, again zero empathy and reaction to my situation. I left with no refund, but I hope bookingcom will help me to return my money.
This hotel should be shut down because of their attitude to the customers. Check the reviews on bookingcom, there are at least 10 reviews that experienced the same.

Avoid this place at any cost! I hope Miramar staff will read this review and I wanted to tell them: I wish one day all of you will be in the shoes of the customer and experience how it feels when nobody cares about your problem!

We returned to the Miramar after having had a very nice stay there 2 years ago and its prime location. This time was different. With one exception, the staff was rude and not helpful. On arrival the safe at the room was closed. We asked the desk to please have it opened and he implied we were not able to open it, but did not make any effort to go see and open it. Not in 3 days! After the first night, the 2 small bottles of water were left empty in the room and no coffee was re-stocked. We asked for both but nothing came back. One of the desk reps said she did not have the key for the water bottles and could not help us! The bathroom was never cleaned up. Just the sink got wiped. Hair was visible all over the floor. The waste basket was never emptied during our stay. One of the lights for the closet was broken and the switch malfunctioned. The first morning we went for breakfast but we were “not in the list”. I asked at reception if our reservation included breakfast and was told it did not. We were asked to pay. That evening I pulled out my reservation and it included breakfast. Took three days for the no return the payment and they did that in cash!
The hotel is not in good shape, many things show lack of maintenance.
There are other options in Frankfurt that we will try before thinking about the Miramar.

Comfortable even somehow small rooms, cleanness, neatness, breakfast is served but in not much quantity or variety except from bread, but is what you need till the midday, friendly staff, a hotel in the middle of attractions (old town, rever and the shopping center street) and the transportation center, by walking just a few minutes. Just prefer a room in the side of the yard instead of the road if you want much quiety. It is a best as for price hotel, none expensive at all, especially for August.

The hotel hygiene standard is more like for a camping cottage than a city hotel.

As I walked into the room, there was a 1cm dead insect in the bathroom. Lots of black mold between the tiles in the shower room. I asked the receptionist to have the housekeeping clean up. No action. Second day, after housekeeping service, the insect was pushed to the edge of the bathroom. The legs were falling apart. Hair was still on the floor. So the housekeeper does not vacumes, just push dust around.

There are bottled water in the room, but no bottle opener.

The internet was too weak for a video conference. I could not work.

There was renovation going on in the hotel. Hallway was ripped, the room number plate was on the floor.

No reimbursement possible when I shortened the stay.

The rooms are a little small, and mine had a bit of a stale smell, but otherwise the bed was comfy, the air conditioning was nice, and the staff were very helpful. The location was very close to the Dom and Römer, but that stretch of Berlinerstraße was a bit dark and empty at night, and the car traffic was sometimes quite loud. The breakfast was good.
