Melia Frankfurt City Hotel is truely a hidden treasure on the outer edge but walking distance to city. The Hotel itself has a quiet chilled vibe. Staff are super attentive. Tessa and Angela on reception were fabulous with assistance.
Breakfast was great and plentiful in option to choose from with waiting staff to attend to needs. Would definitely rebook as very happy with Level Room on 18th Floor with stunning views showcasing Frankfurt.

Stayed for two nights and I’d definitely recommend this hotel for people who want to stay close to the trade fair in Frankfurt as it is a great/modern alternative to the existing hotels in the area.
However, to those guests who want to be in the city center without having to go for a 20 minute walk, calling a taxi or taking a underground train the location might not be the best.

The room we were in was really spacious with a very comfortable bed and from the 8th floor we had a great view over the city, especially at night.
Things I found a bit annoying were that the toilet is in a desperate room without a sink and that there wasn’t a bin in the main bathroom. The shower however was absolutely brilliant and I didn’t want to get out. The room keycards stopped working from time to time as well but staff at the reception was always friendly and helpful.

We had food at their downstairs restaurant ne while it was delicious the service was incredibly slow and drinks are just a touch to pricey in comparison to the food.

Wifi: decently fast na stable
Parking: underground parking available for 39€ a day & also suited for EV owners (many charging spaces available)

We have been staying from the 18th to the 20th of February 2022. We were not so satisfied with the Hotels services. On one hand the TV stations did not work, when we arrived there was a line of 5 groups waiting at the counter that had 1 person doing check-in and the others not even bothering to ask if the could held. The lights in the room were flickering for the two days. The rooms are nice and the location is very good but the breakfast is at most moderate as the selection is limited but particularly the bread selection is poor and rather cheap bread. The breakfast is very expensive and the parking even more with 39€ a day.

The hotel is located in a beautiful skyscraper, the premises are modern and well-groomed.
The wifi is quick and easy to start using.
The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and quality pillow.

There is a total lack of communication between reception staff and operating staff in the rooms. FROM the first day I asked for my room to be cleaned between 8 and 11 in the morning, so I could return in the afternoon and work in the room. In 4 days, the hotel was not able to satisfy this request only once, made both to the reception, to the switchboard of the housekeeping service, and to the manager of the same service. In the end, they all recognized a major communication problem with each other, but they failed in the simplest of gestures: a refund! They brought me a tray with 3 chocolates, which for a chain like Melià and a suite costing EUR 300 per night is a joke. Shameful!
Another flaw, the hotel has a restaurant on the 15th floor with a beautiful view of the skyline, unfortunately it is only open in the evening.

This house, which is well designed inside and out, is located on the edge of Frankfurt's Westend near the Frankfurt Trade Fair and is quickly and easily connected to the city center by public transport (two subway lines and tram lines).

In the so-called Senkenberg Quarter there is the Nature Museum, some buildings of the Goethe University, a number of restaurants and a larger shopping center near the trade fair.

The light-flooded rooms are modernly furnished and offer great views of the urban panorama from the upper floors. The bathrooms are also comfortably designed.

The breakfast is adequate and the parking garage is easily accessible and also suitable for larger cars.

The international staff is friendly and helpful. Apparently a well-run establishment that should not only appeal to trade fair visitors.

While the hotel itself is nice, the customer service is absolutely horrible. The staff acts like they’re doing you a favor and are extremely rude. We asked for an iron and never received it. We asked for water for the room and was told to go to the bar and get it ourselves. I had an issue at the breakfast buffet with a made to order omelette and I brought it to the attention to the manager to see if he could assist since there appeared to be a language barrier with the chef and he said to get mushrooms and tomatoes myself from another section and add it to my own omelette. While the breakfast buffet is decent, it’s not worth €30 you’ll pay. The Neu restaurant at night is horrible, food almost inedible. On top of that, the location is far from the city center, requiring at least a 20 minute walk or Uber/taxi ride. Would not recommend.

I stayed here for 3 nights in August, after the hotel had just opened in June. The rooms are relatively small, but well designed. Nice big walk-in shower. Very fast and reliable WiFi (THANK YOU!).
My room on the 5th floor was very quiet, apart from the fact that the AC fan could not be switched off completely. The entire hotel uses a clever domotica system, you can control everything through a small screen in the room. Smart TV with option to stream from Apple or Android phone (or bring a HDMI cable and hook up your laptop).
Nice breakfast and friendly service, but you can tell that the hotel is new and the staff still needs to settle in a little and find the optimum routine. The hotel also has a private underground parking with nice big parking spaces.

Myself and my friend stayed the 25-26th of March in this hotel, we were firstly told when we checked in that we had been upgraded to the Premium Room, which we should have robes and slippers as stated on the website, I called down to reception to ask for these but they never sent them in. On the Saturday night, we made our way up to the roof top bar which we were really excited about, there wasn't any tables so the lovely lady upstairs who was managing the table bookings said there wasn't any tables but we could go into the lounge as our room number was "valid". I went to scan my card on the door and it wouldn't let us in, moments later who I imagine to be the hotel manager man, he shouted at us and said we weren't allowed in there and our room number and room type isn't good enough for us to be in there, it was a full restaurant with people waiting and he embarrassed us and made us feeling inadequate in front of everyone, and told us to move from the doorway. I was disgusted with how rude we was treated as people staying at this hotel. We went to check out the next day, and I asked if we could leave our bags and use the spa facilities as our flight wasn't until 10pm that night, we was told no and we couldn't use any facility in the hotel because we had checked out, but on arrival before checking in we was allowed to without a given room yet? I am really disgusted and shocked at the lack of respect and the way some of the staff members treated me and my friend and made us feel extremely unwanted and uncomfortable and below them. This ruined our stay and our weekend and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.

A beautiful modern hotel, and our 1st impression had been amazing with the front desk staff being attentive and very willing to help.
But it stopped there!
1. No porters service - so you left to deal with your luggage and navigate the lifts etc.
2. Very few waiters to assist during busy periods during breakfast and in the Executive lounge
3. The food offered in the Level Executive lounge lacked variety and was not very appetising; way too much sweets
4. TV in room lacked English channel or Netflix where you could use your own logins
5. Staff need to know the basic information of the hotel eg..start and end times for the restaurants, breakfast times etc.

My checkin was just abysmal, the young man taking care of me didn’t seem to know what he was doing and seemed totally bothered by me.
I wasn’t informed that the Level lounge was closed due to water damage and he didn’t bother telling me there was a replacement nor program my keycard so I can access the temporary lounge.

I had to come back a little later to ask to change room and get the information that a really nice new young man gave with a smile.

The stay was fine because of the very nice junior suite which is actually the highlight of this hotel including the views.

At checkout I was offered a « discount » for late checkout despite being entitled to it for free due to my gold status, after asking to verify 3 times I did have it free of charge…

This is a pity because I really like to give Melia a chance when available. This hotel has so much potential, I was lucky that 3/4 of the staff was actually very helpful, but some do require more training.
