This was a 2 night stay and chosen for its convenience to the sights of Old Town. The hotel is catering for business guests I would say over tourists guests. I was disappointed that the carpets in the room and corridors were stained badly and not acceptable for this kind of hotel. As a couple both over 55years we found access to the hotel a challenge with the S bahn ir U Bahn. We opted for a taxi from the main train station which is overpriced at €18 for our particular day we arrived but worth it for the convenience. On our return back to Frankfurt Airport we managed the S Bahn but this is challenging with cases if you are less fit and able. We looked for resturants without chips and pizza and found two we are happy to recommend, Mutter Ernst, more traditional German food and Fisch Franke offering excellent fish choices, both reasonably priced. The hotel itself is OK for a short break, breakfast was full of choice in buffet style. Needed more than one coffee machine and if you are a true British soul, there is little in Germany in the way of tea other than fruit teas. There is a hot water urn and we took our own English tea to make a fresh cup. Frankfurt is a vibrant busy city, the old town is great for tourists, and the tour bus options worth doing to gain the history and modern take on city life.

Very conveniently located. Subway right outside the door, Zeil just a few steps away. Nice hotel, friendly, attentive staff. Perfect, if not exactly cheap breakfast on the 7th floor with a view of the skyline. The inexpensive 20 square meter rooms in the new building don't quite fit the "luxury" description. Nice, but only one seat and thanks to the ironing board, there's only 25 cm left in the closet to hang clothes. But the hotel is a good choice as a starting point for a visit to Frankfurt.

We had originally booked the other Flemings Hotel in Frankfurt for New Years, but they decided to close for a month for some reason so we were moved here.

We were checked in by very friendly and welcoming staff who told us all we needed to know and really made us feel welcome. When we got to the room we noticed it was uncomfortably warm, so we turned off the radiators and turned on the cool air. This didn't make any difference though as the cold air was just room temperature air re-circulating so we left the windows open while we went out to explore. That night when we were going to bed the room was still uncomfortably warm. We asked the front desk about this and they sent a guy to check. Our 2 options were leave the windows open (not an option with outside noise) or move to a different room. He showed us another room which was equally warm so we stayed put and just sweated it out.

We don't like people being in our room while we are staying there so we hung the "Do not disturb" sign on the door the whole time. However our first morning there after a night of not much sleep with the heat, we get a knock knock knock on the door at about 08:15. When i shouted "no thanks" whoever it was went away.

Later that evening, after a day of walking around we were back in the room relaxing when, still with the "do not disturb" sign on the door we get a knock knock and a woman with a clipboard lets herself in. She left when she saw us and when I caught up with her in the hall she said something about our room being marked as dirty but my German is only OK so I am not sure what it was about. But twice in 24 hours our do not disturb sign was ignored. I reported this to the front desk who apologised and promised it wouldn't happen again...which thankfully it didn't.

Anyway the dinner we had on the roof top bar was very expensive but, Oh my God it was amazing. The best beef I have ever had and the waiting staff were delightful.

The hotel has a fun hop on hop off elevator which was a nice novelty. Overall we enjoyed out stay and would happily stay there again

Dear John O, thank you very much for your nice review. We are very happy that you overall enjoyed your stay with us. We have to apologize that you got disturbed twice even with the do not disturb sign. Please be assured that we already clearified this matter with our housekeeping team and it will hopefully not happen again. During the winter season we had a very cold time here in Frankfurt, but during new years eve, we got surprised by mid spring temperatures wich we were not prepared for. That is why we left the heaters running in the arrival rooms. We thank you so much for the great comment about our rooftop restaurant and bar with the unique view over the skyline. We are looking forward for your next stay with us. With kind regards Marius Jungmann Manager on Duty Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt City

This has the overall feel of a business hotel despite the fact that its advertising strap line is "boutique at heart" However, it is a very pleasant hotel for all that.

Its location is probably its biggest advantage, just 10 minutes walk from the old city and in easy reach of almost anywhere of interest. It's also adjacent to an U Bahn (underground) station.

The room was well appointed and extremely quiet. A quiet room is at the top of the list of requirements for me, and because this one (535) appears to be at the back of the building with no view to speak of, it was pleasingly devoid of any noise at all. The bed is one of the best I've slept in in an hotel - firm without being hard - and I slept extremely well.

Breakfast is also excellent. A good cooked breakfast is another must-have for me when staying an an hotel and the fare every morning in the restaurant at the top of the building is very good indeed. You also have a panoramic view of the city from there, and while Frankfurt doesn't exactly have a particularly remarkable sky line, it is pleasant to have the view. In warm weather you can sit on the balcony outside, facing the city.

There is little to complain about with this hotel. Oddly for its level of quality, there are no hand creams or a shower cap provided (my wife pointed this out to me - I never use them), although there are shampoo and body wash dispensers provided.

Housekeeping is on alternate days (this is something that irritates me but is becoming the norm) so you have to do some cleaning yourself, such as sluicing out the unsightly toothpaste splash stains from the dark brown glass sink. I do find the penny-pinching that hotels now engage in under the guise of 'green' policies to be annoying, and you can bet your boots that if those green policies cost them money rather than saving it, you'd never see or hear about them.

In all, a good hotel in an excellent location, and one I would readily return to.

For a 4 star hotel and nearly $300/night one would expect more. The room was warm with A/C that was not powerful enough to get it cooler. The hotel itself is old and just doesn’t look very nice.
Bed was comfortable, nice staff, large room…that was nice.
But they made it sound at check in that breakfast was included only to find upon checkout that it was not included and we were charged €30/person for some bread, eggs and coffee. Felt like a scam as nobody told us it was not included. My fault for not noticing but they certainly did not make it clear that it was an additional cost.
The 2 star rating was more for the shape of the hotel and warm room. I’m sure there are better options out there.

I stayed for one night during the EURO 224 in the hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located in front of the main railway station Frankfurt HBF.

The price of 82€ was very cheap for a gameday in Frankfurt.
An additional charge of 20€ for an early check in (2h) is ok and the check in was comfortable.

Unfortunately some other things were not nice :

1. Next to the window the carpet floor was wet.
Maybe water from the air conditioning, which was inoperable. After the game I wanted to sleep directly and the hotel was completely booked out, thus I didn’t asked for another room at midnight.I didn’t noticed that wetness when I quickly let my luggage inside the room.

2.The air conditioning was not working and you couldn’t open the window. The smell of the wet floor was not nice and no cooling during summer time is strange.

3. There was only one single big towel.

4. The safe was inoperable.

In total I can’t recommend this hotel.
The price was very cheap but now I know why …

Overall, we were very satisfied, and even if the billing for the additional, short-term booking of two rooms was a bit chaotic, the staff was always very friendly and tried to find a good and correct solution.
The booking for brunch was also a bit disorganized, no one knew who to contact, and the email I sent never reached the recipient. After several personal inquiries in the hotel's restaurant, the restaurant manager found a suitable solution for us.
The only remark we can make was the room service, which always did this quite late in the afternoon.
In any case, we would like to thank all employees for the courteous and friendly service.

Anything that I write about my stay on Flemings Selection won't be enough to describe the amazing experience we had there. Starting from the great location at the city center which made easy to us to hit the shopping points as well as the tours and attractions, not to mention all the great restaurants around with basically anything you want. At arrival after walking around for couple of hours right before lunch, we were super welcomed by big smiles, warming and generous staff, who offered us complimentary coffee, water and even gave attention to our little Shih Tzu who really loved the fresh water served to him. Entering the hotel you can see one of a kind ancient elevator, which still works and is an interesting experience to go for a ride on it. At the reception Christina and Diego were just truly outstanding, not sure if they learned such great customer skills at Hotel school or with the years of experience, but they made the check-in process amazing, and truly put effort on offering us possible upgrades, and etc, which they did, we got an upgrade, on a room with an amazing view, very spacious, comfortable and with a bathtub. The frigobar items were included in the room, but during our stay I lost count of the amazing cold beers I was offered. At night before bed we decided to order some antipasto from the restaurant, which were great and was followed by a complimentary bottle of white wine which was delicious. The breakfast was also amazing, so many options, everything fresh, staff was refilling it all the time, the coffee was just wonderful, we were very happy with it all! If you are looking for a stay in Frankfurt, in family, couple or alone, I highly recommend this hotel and its amazing staff, hope to be back soon!

Bittersweet experience.
To begin with they gave us an inner room with no access to the street (when I had booked and paid for a superior one) then I observed that there they house the workers 🙃 ) it seems that a congress or something came to them and they tried to sneak that room with us . When I complain for the 2nd time, we are given one of the category hired by me who had just washed the carpet so I was squirting water on the floor and a horrible smell of damp, plus the windows opened with 1 degree Celsius.

The right breakfast but a single coffee machine and queuing
to get a sad cuppa
That by the way when milk is not lacking coffee or cream. Not to mention begging bartenders for spoons or napkins or cups or...
Finally, not at all the service of an establishment of this category and PRICE.

Fab location, easy to access all parts of the city. Hotel looks a little drab from the outside but inside it’s great - modern and clean. Staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful with a huge shout out to See Heong-Jang (hope I spelt that correctly!) who went above and beyond to look after us and ensure we had a great stay - Thank you.

Rooms were large, clean, well equipped and modern with large, modern showers and separate loos (you may struggle for privacy in the shower with your room companion if that matters to you …)

You can get a great coffee in the lobby!

Also has an awesome old fashioned ‘walk in’ lift … just watch your step lol

I stayed there and they have rooms where the bathrooms is separated, even I can remember that the shower & sink were also separated from the toilet itself. There was a small room next to the door where a toilet and small sink were there and another room where the shower and a bigger sink & both had their own wooden door with complete privacy .. then was the room. You just have to book the correct room type. All staff are very helpful and I am sure they will honor and respect your request. Nice hotel, don't miss it .. Just check the AC, otherwise perfect hotel in the heart of the city. I love it and will book it again once I am in F Furt.
