A convenient place to lay your head for a night if you are transiting through Hamburg. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Probably wouldn't like to stay here for much longer than one night.

I have a dream. A dream that one day I shall stay in the perfect hostel. Although Generator didn't quite live up to the standard of a "perfect hostel", it has all the qualities to do so. The rooms (8 bed mixed dorm) weren't too cramped but had ensuite bathroom and seperate shower that were in fact very small. In...

Family room above bar, very loud. 500 Euro for three nights and no towels (extra charged) and no breakfast included. Location central but in a not so nice area. Full of drunken British group. No parking available

We had a great experience at Generator hostel. It was cosy and modern and felt like the management really nade efforts to ensure everyone was comfortable. Great value for money and in a great location. I was impressed by how clean everything was.

the security guard on 11.04.2017 evening time was very unfriendly..such disrespectfulness to the customers is not accepted !!! We are customers not enemies !! The case was reported to the front desk but the reaction was poor. I travel frequently and I have never had such bad experience..big dislike.

great location. nice selection of breakfast food. enough space for all during breakfast. suggestion: allow outside food to be eaten in the lounge, (computer area). to encourage people to keep rooms clean. the ensuite bathrooms are too small. i can't even wash my face. the corridor one is just nice. keycard doesn't really work for the front door. breakfast was...

It is a good hostel that is missing some kitchen facilities for people like me that like to drink tea at stupid o'clock or have a plate of pasta without having to go out and sit in a restaurant. Kitchen is also good meeting place, but hostel has a bar and café.

We spent a weekend at the Generator Hostel Hamburg, which is situated on the block opposite to Hamburg central train station (Hauptbahnhof) in the St Georg quarter of the city. The staff are great, very friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms (we had double and single rooms with private bathrooms) are good and functional. We considered them to be slightly...

I recently stayed at the hostel for one night on a quick mid week trip from London. I thought since it was a weekday the hostel would be reasonably quiet but this was not the case. The hostel seemed quite busy which gave it quite a cool vibe. I was greeted by reasonably unfriendly staff who kind of rudely told...

we booked this hostel because was so close from train station and we had an early morning train. So for us, the only plus was the position. It has security at the entrance and also in the hostel you can enter only with the room card. We think it is over rated since the room offers only the bed and...
