I booked an awards stay at the Renaissance. Having stayed there many times before I was interested to see how the refurb of the ground floor had gone. On the whole I was very impressed with the new areas. The bar in the main part of the ground floor was very nice and always busy. My main compleint is that...

My wife & I used this hotel for a visit to the Hamburg Christmas markets. About a week before our trip they emailed us asking for any special requests. From previous experience of German hotels I asked for extra pillows. When we arrived we found that the 2 double beds had a total of 13 pillows! The first night of...

I stayed at the Renaissance 2 night on early November, after having booked a double room sole use through the site hamburg-tourism.de at a very reasonable rate. Let me say this is a great hotel. The area is a must for people who love strolling and shopping along the "golden triangle" including Jungfernstieg (which is the nearest underground station), Neuer...

70$ per night-room only- is a bargain, but they offered little for the price. Room maintenance was poor on Sunday and happened after two complaints only, around 4:30 pm. Sunday afternoon the lobby was cleared of all furniture and the desk was moved to the first floor, due to major restauration. The room is good Marriott average standard. We did...

Just stayed a night at the Renaissance. The hotel was quite well booked, with a busload just checking in at the same time we did. Reception service was fast and friendly. The room itself was the old Marriott furnishings, the new Revive bed has not yet arrived there. Room and bath was clean, but somehow old fashioned - especially when...

I stayed at this location to participate in the Conergy Hamburg Marathon on Apr 29. The property is difficult to find but down the street from the Hamburg Marriott (if you get lost). Check-in was very slow as the older woman at the front desk seem to take a very long time processing my information whereas other patrons checked in...

Hamburg is a lovely German city, however it shuts on Sunday and therefore there is not much to do! Would suggest that anyone who books into this hotel checks with the hotel re: booking. I booked a twin room for 2 adults, single room!. When I arrived at 11.45am, they argued that a twin room in Germany does not mean...

People seem to be very positive about this hotel. It all comes down to what you are looking for, I guess. I take a few combined business/pleasure trips around Europe each year. On the way home from Amsterdam we stopped overnight in Hamburg to have a look around (I publish a magazine about "city design"). First hotel we came by...

One of the most enjoyable stays in Hamburg ever. The location can't be beat, rooms and public areas, though more than two decades old, are very well maintained, every staff members gets out of his way to make you feel at home. Our room was spacious, absolutely quiet (as requested) and classically appointed. Bed was comfortable and everything was immaculately...

We have always loved this hotel and, in fact, still find that it is an excellent value. It also is in tghe best location in Hamburg for shopping, sightseeing and just stolling among the German folks. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. All this makes it sad to have to report...
