Wonderful location especially if you need public transportation. Staff is really nice and breakfast suprisingly good.BUT no elevator with very high stairs and an open bathroom-not for everyone, with luggage insist on 1 floor...

The rooms look clean, but have carpets. Breakfast was a bit on the poor side, but the free coffee 24/7 made up for it. The hotel is located in the 'poorer' part of St Georg. You'll see homeless people, prostitutes, etc yet close to a major mainstation and the central bus port, this should not come as a surprise. On the other...

The location is perfect, it takes only a couple of minutes to get to the hotel from the central station. However, sometimes it can be too noisy and crowded outside, but this is understandable. The interior is awesome, as well as the breakfast, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, they were always ready to answer our questions and...

I read about this hotel at Airbnb website and thought it might be interesting to stay at a bordello from the past. But, nothing except the dated and worn/ dusty decor and furnishings from the "glorious" brothel reign. Also I was charged more than what was advertised on Airbnb. We never met the "Host' or owner. Not only that I...

Anyone who has experienced the less expensive central Hamburg hotels will know how "hit and miss" the adventure can be. The Hotel Village is an exception. It is consistemtly strong in all aspects of quality. The hotel itself is about as central as you can get - three minutes walk from the main train station. But most important, the hotel...

Located in the still somewhat notorious location of Steindamm, very close to the central station, this hotel still has much of the feel of its previous incarnation (a brothel). I had an ample size single room on the top floor...five floors of steep stairs would not suit everyone...with a small balcony overlooking the street. Good breakfast buffet was included. If...

Ever wondered what it felt like to be a prostitute working in a 19th century brothel? Stay at this former whorehouse, now a cool hotel, in Hamburg, which contains all the original furnishings! I have stayed here three times and have a fond place in my heart for it. The 7 Euro breakfast is actually quite good ( and I...

If you travel to Hamburg you should stays in this hotel. you will be amazed once you step in. It is like from old movie. Believe me 2days are not enough to get through all the "design" staff there :-). On top of that it is great location and you must just love their breakfasts.

The Hotel Village in Hamburg is a bit quirky as it was a formal brothel, but the owners are very nice and helpful to travelers. As is the case for many older city hotels in Europe, there is no elevator here. We had a room on the 5th floor and it was a pain to carry large luggage up all...

This is a very unusual and quirky hotel, located on the lively Steindamm, very close to the Central Station. We had the honymoon 'suite', which is basically just a room, but the decoration is what you want this room for. You will need to climb four flights of stairs to get there, though. Apart from the enjoyment of the fun...
