We really liked our small but nicely old fashioned and well thought out room and bathroom. Lots of hooks to hang things on, shelves in right places, good reading light in bed. Wifi was good. Our inner courtyard room very quiet. Nice to start evenings with a drink outside in front of the Brandenburg gate. Great base for getting to know a wonderful small city.

We stayed seven nights at this hotel in August 2019. Upon arrival we were taken to an apartment. It was quite hot when we arrived and the apartment was really stuffy and very hot, with no air circulation. There was a fan, but for the size and shape of the apartment, this made little difference. Furthermore, we did not intend to use the kitchen facilities. We discovered that this was not what we had booked and were informed it was an upgrade. We asked for the room we had reserved (superior room) and were eventually given it. The room was very comfortable, clean, quiet and more than spacious enough for us and our luggage. It looked out over the car park and garden in the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and had a great range of items. The hotel was well situated, walking distance to Schloss Sanssouci and other interesting parts of Potsdam, and with a tram just outside the hotel which was very convenient for the rest of Potsdam, the Congress Centre and to get to Berlin. There are also a range of restaurants nearby. The street outside the hotel front is a pedestrian street and the square is nice to relax in. There is a bar in the hotel if the guests would like drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the i-pad in the room and used it a lot. We really had a great stay at this excellent hotel.

While spending a month traveling in Switzerland, we took a quick trip to visit friends who live in Potsdam October 13-16, 2019 - staying at Hotel Brandenburger in Luxury Suite, #104. The suite and bathroom were huge and on the corner facing the pedestrian street, as well as the Brandenburger Tor. The only complaints we had were in regards to cleanliness – there were quite a few stains on the living room furniture and carpet. The air conditioning fan made a lot of noise, as well. Our rate included a continental breakfast, but was not so appetizing the first morning due to all the gnats flying in the food. To be fair, the weather had turned very warm right before we got there and was still a little warmer than usual. Maybe that was the reason for the gnats?? Potsdam is a beautiful town with so much history. We enjoyed the cobblestoned pedestrian streets and the Dutch Quarters (Hollandisches Viertel). There are numerous palaces within walking distance and a great biergarten (Meierei) on the water.

Dear Time2GoNow, many thanks for staying with us in October 2019 and for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with us. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us overall. Your positive feedback will of course be shared with the whole team.. Many thanks for pointing out the issue with the gnats. We have taken this opportunity to look at this more closely and have set up traps. Many thanks once again as it is only with open and constructive feedback such as yours that we can improve upon our standards. We are sorry to read that the cleanliness was not up to our usual standards. However, we can inform you that we have had our carpets and upholstery cleaned professionally in January 2020. Should you wish to return to Potsdam in the future, we'd be pleased to welcome you back so that you may inspect the results yourself. It is great to read that you were able to explore Potsdam from our central location. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future and remain with best regards, Your Hotel am Brandenburger Team from Potsdam

LOCATION is fabulous because it is by ARCH in Potsdam, acrosss street from entrance to Sansouci Palace and Park, at beginning of MAIN STREET to 3 streets of shopping, and parking garage for Hotel is directly across street from Hotel. Breakfast was COMPLIMENTARY and BEST BEST BEST on our MONTH tour of Germany. Clean room and super friendly ENGLISH-speaking employees. Did not offer a nighttime meal, but restaurant NEXT door for evening meal which had GREAT steaks and Burgers. Need to STAY at least 2 nights. We arrived by 5 pm one evening. Spent FULL DAY at Sanssouci Palace and Park. Spent 2nd night at hotel. Remember the entire Sanssouci Park is CLOSED on MONDAYS. PLUS NEW Palace is closed on TUESDAY. The NEW PALACE is a MUST SEE. Therefore, do NOT schedule stay in POTSDAM for MONDAY and NOT for TUESDAY. If you have time, spend 3 nights and enjoy SHOPPING all the cute shops ONE WHOLE DAY.

We stayed in this hotel over festive period and really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is beautiful, modern and very stylish. The Room was spacious and nicely decorated, big bathroom with good towels and Molton brown cosmetic. Staff was friendly, quick and smooth check in and check out. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, big variety and great coffee and tea selection. You can find all what you may wish, but it will be great to have more fresh vegetables, green leaves and avocado. The China glass for breakfast is beautiful, so you can truly enjoy your food. Areas for improvement: - scramble eggs were served cold although we came for the breakfast at 10:00 and it supposed to be until 11:00 - bread wasn’t fresh, it was so hard that you can tell it was from yesterday, although croissants were crispy and very fresh - pillows are very soft, so wasn’t the greatest sleep I have ever had, so if pillow menu can be offered, it would be great
