This hotel was great for accessing hikes, lakes, biking and other outdoor activities but the rooms were less then expected. Also, difficult for vegans. Rooms were clean but too full with furnishings. Games room was not accessible but the pool was nice. Breakfast was tasty but not very vegan-friendly.
We picked this place because it seemed like a super nice place for a cheap price after COVID but now in retrospect, our 100e room was way too expensive! The pool and sauna were not open (even though we waited till the ban was lifted from COVID) - so that was disappointing. We asked for extra pillows and a bigger room as we brought a baby bed with us but those requests were ignored. As some others said, it was just SO big and did feel like a retirement home! We did love the location, and that it is next to a lake. We took a walk down the path in front of the lake and went to a restaurant not far away, which was nice. The brunch in the morning was nice. Plenty of food and carafe's of coffee on each table. The staff was friendly. There was nothing extra in the room, such as coffee or carafes for tea. No shampoos or soaps - absolutely no extras. The art decor was awful - graffiti pictures which were not pleasant. Everything was very clean.…
We thought the hotel was very good value for money and suited the trip purpose to perfection: very dog-friendly hotel just opposite a very clean lake that the dogs loved. The indoor swimming pool is very pleasant.
Not a real good experience here... Mr Lutz from the Captains Corner made our stay special and enjoyable and the kind lady who prepared our girls bed... Most of the staff quite rude and unfriendly. Swimming pool was taken up almost whole afternoon, from 15.00-17.30, by aqua gym. Small beds but spacious room. Nice spot at the lake.
We didn't like the hotel that much; it felt like a retirement home....to big and made without any charm. The rooms are the worst; very sterile... There was also no possibility at the moment we were there, to eat 'a la cart'! Only a buffet for €25,- (without drinks)...., but if you are a small eater, that is a lot for just one plate of not that good food....
