Arrived before the rest of our group and received a friendly welcome. We got really good advice how the parking in that area works, where the facilities were. Room was sparse, big & functional - but the beds were so narrow, pillows in typical massive fluffy (read: no substance) fashion. The room was big enough for a double bed, why...

Basic clean hostel with good size family room. Staff on reception very nice and helpful. No access to dining area outside meal times. Super roof terrace with views of the river. No parking in hostel and the on street parking is confusing! Nice place, would recommend.

Enjoyed our 3 nights here in Bremen. Very basic room and what you would expect from a typical youth hostel. But the staff were extremely helpful and friendly with information about the city and how to get around. My laundry got stuck in the dryer... >< but they saved the day and got it out for me. Our room had...

This hostel is far to expensive for the level of service that you receive, especially after Germanys decision to put refugees in hostels. Need to lower the price, definitely do not stay if you like to be awoken at the middle of the night. There is many refugees staying here and their kids have nothing to do so they just...

This is a Youth Hostel with hotel prices - watch out for normal Hotels, there are cheaper one than this - good location on the river and in the city center - no parking - pay attention on Thursdays the food is vegetarian only - poor choice for breakfast and dinner - only 1 vegetarian or 1 meat dish

Stayed here for one night in September 2014 with my partner and son. A good location for a family visit to Bremen. The hostel is right on the river front, a short walk or cycle ride from the city centre. There are cafes, beer gardens and bars minutes away, but not too close to be noisy. We had a large...

Although the rooms and common areas were clean and it had one of the best breakfasts I had in Germany, this place that advertises itself as a hostel, is really lacking in many of the things that make a hostel a hostel. It was quite pricy- extra charges for linens and if you are not a member of HI. There...

The location of the hostel is very good, right by the river, The direction provided by the hostel was detailed enough and on arriving at Bremen airport, I took the tram and followed the instuctions and it was easy to locate. Having arrived on an early flight, I was pleased when the hostel allowed me to check in at 10.30am....

Stayed at Jugenherberge Bremen for two nights. Its a very convenient place for a family to make a days sightseeing when you use the Bremen Airport for transit. Two nights in a family room (beds for 6 persons). Friendly and service minded staff. The youth hostel is located by the River Weser. Our room had a great view of the...

We had a little trouble finding the hostel and had to ask the locals, but they were very kind to us. (Its close to the river in Bremen) On arrival at the hostel so we had a beautiful room overlooking the river Weser. Our room had views of the Beck's brewery, which was fun to see, it's a well-known beer...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Directly at the river Weser is our DJH-Youth Hostel in the city of Bremen. It is the perfect starting point to discover the hanseatic city. Say "Hello!" to the "Town Musicians of Bremen" ("Bremer Stadtmusikanten") and to the Bremen Roland. Take a walk through the Schnoor quarter which is a small and well-preserved area of romantic crooked streets, shipper's and fischermen's houses from the 17th and 18th century. Nowadays you will find artisan shops, lovely cafés and art galleries there. ... more   less
