Detailed Reviews
Absolutely amazing. The staff are everything nice, friendly, helpful, cheerful, professional, kind, smile a lot, happy, and even funny. All of them from the bar to kitchen to the reception. WiFi is superb. Cleanliness is 100 percent. They provided everything such as free ear plugs, ironing, hair dryer in rooms, and more. They plan evening events to make guests socialize if you want to participate. Their chicken wings has the best recipe and I bought it everyday till I left. Location is central. Hostel is safe and spacious, has very good fans to keep cool and the window ventilation is great. The buffet breakfast was nice and affordable, 6 euros, I paid for every day. There’s a lot to say about them but I just want to say thank you for making my stay a happy and comfortable one. I am happy to use here anytime I visit Berlin because they are everything I need to be comfortable.

I arrived at 7pm for a 2 night stay on trip around europe. I mainly wanted to do some first time sight seeing in Berlin.
The bed was comfortable and had all the amenities required with private toilet (separate) and shower room for only the individuals in the room I was staying in.
The hostel wasn't too noisy and assist from the sound of the lockers I had very polite room mates. Definitely central to the city and sights and I would definitely recommend.

The staff will always help and advice you, whatever you need. The athmosphere is friendly and cozy, there is a huge garden flourishing in the backyard which is a must to relax during the day. The food is delicious and the prices including for drinks great. The hostel bar is busy almost every night and there are activities like beer pong and table tennis to keep you moving while hanging out with other hostel guests and locals. The rooms are light and clean looking on the backyard which sometimes means it is not very quiet but the staff will offer you free earplugs if you ask for them. Great experience and great location. Would deffinitely recommend staying there.

During my recent stay at Saint-Christopher's Inns Berlin - Mitte, I observed several discrepancies between the advertised facilities and the actual conditions on the premises. These discrepancies, coupled with subpar hygiene standards, significantly detracted from my experience and raise concerns about the hostel's compliance with relevant regulations.
Misrepresentation of Facilities:
The photographs displayed on the hostel's website and online booking platforms do not accurately represent the current state of the facilities. Specifically, the following discrepancies were observed:
Malfunctioning Heating System: The heating system was not functioning adequately, resulting in uncomfortably low temperatures within the guest rooms.
Unsanitary Conditions: The cleanliness of the guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas was not maintained to a satisfactory standard. Evidence of this includes unclean showers, uncollected rubbish.
Inoperable Lift: The lift was frequently out of service, causing significant inconvenience to guests, particularly those with mobility impairments or heavy luggage.
Considering the state of the facilities and the overall quality of the accommodation, I would not be willing to pay more than (5 euros) per night for a stay at this hostel.
Unsatisfactory Hygiene Standards:
The hygiene standards observed in the hostel's bar area and reception area were also unsatisfactory. Specifically:
Unsanitary Practices: The hostel manager, Ms. Lea Desbois, was frequently observed consuming food at the reception desk with long, unkempt fingernails, posing a potential hygiene risk.
Uncleanliness: The bar area was not maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, with evidence of unclean surfaces, overflowing bins.
These observations raise concerns about the hostel's compliance with relevant hygiene and safety regulations. Guests are entitled to expect that the facilities and services provided will be accurately represented and maintained to a reasonable standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
I urge the management of Saint-Christopher's Inns Berlin - Mitte to address these issues promptly to ensure the health and safety of their guests and to avoid potential legal repercussions.

The location is great but nothing else. The rooms are not exactly large and the cleanliness is lacking in all areas. The bathroom was moldy in every crack, you could not even enter the shower without bath slippers. Windows and mirrors smeared and dirty. Breakfast was nothing special, cutlery but not clean. When I first entered the room, the white socks were no longer white, especially the dirt had already collected in the corners. Really the worst stay I've ever had anywhere. You could change a lot if the cleaning lady didn't just empty the trash can:)

Hotel basically for young people where they offer you the minimum essential, if you order something else they charge you. We stayed three nights there and never changed the sheets but did clean the room. Check-in starts at 3 PM, we arrived at 1 PM and were told that leaving our things until 3 would come at a cost. We needed an adapter to plug in our equipment and they sell it to you. The location is excellent and the beds are comfortable.

Arrived on a causal 3am Friday morning. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to give us our room. We were then told that we would have to check out the next day, despite being booked in for 2 nights, because they needed to change our room. Woke up eagerly expecting a “continental breakfast” which we paid €5 for. This instead turned out to be 1 mouldy apple and a nut bar. After this fulfilling breakfast, we returned to our room to find our roommate smoking in the room and being on full Volume video calls all day. After then wasting a day checking out of our first room and waiting for our next room to be ready, we decided to pay €8 for laundry. After finally checking into our second room we eagerly set out to explore Berlin. Upon returning to our wonderful hostel, we discovered that our room of 6 had 8 people in and we no longer had a bed. After going to reception to sort this out, we had to move rooms again and were only compensated with a small reduction on us extending our stay. To make matters worse our laundry had not been done all day. And we had to stay in the bar until 11pm to collect it. The only compromise they made was to give us 1 free beer for all the hassle. All in all the worst hostel we’ve ever stayed in, which is nothing against st Christopher’s inn as there other locations were very good.

I came to visit Berlin with my partner for a few days and we found this trendy and affordable Bar & Inn on Booking.com
For the one night we stayed, it was gorgeous! A private room with a double bed for around €45 was incredible.
The environment is super friendly and the bar staff are always welcome and it’s super international for tourists or travellers who are timid with their German.

My experience at St. Christophs Berlin Mitte was a demonstration of unparalleled blatant incompetence. The situation: From around 8:40 p.m. I waited in the attached bar to order my dinner, but was completely ignored while other guests were served immediately by the bartender without any further ado. When at 9:10 p.m., without me even having the chance to order, it was announced that the kitchen was now closed, that was the last straw. This incident alone was a blatant disregard for the guest, but what followed was the icing on the cake.
My complaint at reception was dismissed with flimsy and mendacious regrets, the crudeness of which is unparalleled: "high demand", "busy" - as if that were a justification for such discriminatory behavior. This is not only an impertinence, but a clear sign of poor management and hospitality. A hostel that refuses to give its guests basic attention and respect does not deserve to be called such. Professionalism means providing consistently good service even under pressure. St. Christoph's Hostel failed across the board here with an unprecedented level of outrageous incompetence that will hopefully save other potential guests from this experience.

This hostel definitely shows potential and has a few thing's going for it. The location is great, close to the center and train station. The building is impressive with everything a hostel might need. Also loved the bed.
However I noticed a few glitches that started to annoy me. The first room I got assigned to didn't have any curtains. The second one luckily had, but was about half the size. (You need some luck when getting a room) This room also lacked something to put your stuff on. It was either the bed or the floor. (A side table or chair would have been nice) Also the wifi only worked on one side of the room.
Most of the staff were very friendly, with the exception of one sourpuss.
All in all I'm contented with what I got for the price I payed but don't think I'll be staying here again.
