Location is not that comfortable. the nearest train station is 2 km away. nearest bus station is 600m walk. The best option is taxi which can be arranged by front desk and is there in few minutes. Wifi was there but there was no internet. reception said they have problem with ISP, what a helpful answer!! Rooms are clean. surrounding...

The former mansion of the banker Mendelssohn, rebuilt after bombing as a church, hotel, restaurant and youth hostel, St. Michaels is situated in a green neighbourhood west of the downtown, easily accessible by bus. The park-like setting on a small canal lends a peaceful air and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed, although the wifi was not accessible from my...

The Hotel it's really comfortable, for the position (silence in the night), the big free inside parking places, for the near bus services. The room was clean, but without air conditioning. Maybe would be better in cold or temperate months, less in really hot days and nights.

This hotel is in a house that was owned by the Mendelssohn family (yes, that Mendelssohn). It's a big hotel, so you can imagine how rich this family was. It's, of course, in the exclusive part of Berlin (Grunewald - do you remember in the movie Cabaret the rich English-language pupil of Michael York: her family's mansion was in Grunewald...

I have experienced a very pleasant stay in this hotel. It is situated in quiet but nice part of Berlin, near lakes. The hotel founds itself in woodland-like surroundings. The rooms are simple, but tidy and cheap. Only unpleasant experience was with the cuisine, which is maybe too much senior oriented.

The hotel is owned by the Lutheran Church and is correspondingly simple. Its rooms are fairly basic but nonetheless comfortable. Annoyingly, German legislation prohibits tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms. It is in a green leafy suburb, not far from the centre of the old West Berlin, but located some way away from the nearest bus stop, though...

I stayed in the jugendgasthaus section. My room was small and basic but had everything one might need and, although the place was busy with a school party at the time, the communal bathrooms were clean and were sufficient for the number of people staying. The very best feature of this place is the lovely biergarten serving nice basic food...

I have stayed recently at St.-Michaels-Heim and was pretty satisfied. It is located in a nice neighborhood, ten minutes walking from the nearest metro station. The room was clean and i was surprised at the toilets and showers being spotless. The only setback is the absence of towels and internet connection. I did not take breakfast, so I cant say,...

I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom in the jugendgasthaus section of St.-Michaels-Heim. Even though the gastehaus is not in the centre of tourist attractions, it is located in a beautiful green and quiet neighbourhood and very easy to reach the city centre by bus... So a great escape from the busy-ness. There are also bicycles for rental...
