We stayed here over the weekend whilst we were in Berlin, we had booked another hotel, which was a lot cheaper but disgusting, so we ended up booking this hotel 30 minutes before arriving. It was a little pricey but lovely, very clean and well presented. Very close to Postdamer platz, and walking distance to many of the main attractions...

The room is clean and bright and reasonably sized and apportioned. The location isn't great, but not terrible either, and it was within a reasonable walking distant to mass transit. Two kids and I stayed for three days, and I was charged over 30 euros a day as an extra guest fee. The breakfast area was clean, and the offerings...

Everything was brilliant. The room was impeccable with the comfiest bed and all was laid out very nicely. The bathroom was also fantastic with a great shower and overall flawless experience staying here. The staff were wonderfully accommodating - those who we spoke to were fluent in English but also genuinely lovely to talk to and were massive support when...

First stay at Fjord since any 10years. Still friendly staff and very quiet rooms, well maintained. One of very few hotels globally that manages to offer boiling water for tea on the breakfast buffet. Price was a bit at high end.

This hotel is clean. Every staff is very kind. And almost quiet. And it is very near to Burandenburg Tor, Sony center, Mall of Berlin and Philharmony, so I could walk around there. If possible, would you pripair electrical pot for tourist, I would like to drink hot tea or something midnight, so I purchaised small cheap pot.

Great budget hotel option. Spotless, cozy, quiet guestroom with large windows that opened and a spacious bathroom. Fast WiFi. The standard room had good closet space. Breakfast room offers bright, cheerful ambience and wide variety of fresh, healthy hot & cold options. Location was good--walking distance to Potsdamer Platz, Tiergarten, Bradenburg Gate, etc. and close to Gleisdreick U-Bhan which can...

I just check out and need to wait one hour before going to the airport and there is no seat in the lobby where I can check my emails . The reception girl very arrogant and told me that the breakfast room it's closed and they need 2 hours to clean . Totally disaster and they have no idea what...

We spent three nights at Fjord and were impressed with the rooms and the service. Rooms and beddings were clean, exactly as seen in the pictures. Hotel is a 5-20mins walk from restaurants, bars and shops, so is in one of the better locations. You could also walk to potsdamerplatz from the hotel (20mins). The area was quiet, except for...

The rooms are clean but very basic. No A/C, mini fridge, or even shampoo/conditioner (come on guys!). Staff are professional. The location is weird - very residential area but you can walk to Potzdammerplatz. At EUR150 a night I think I'd do airbnb next time I'm in Berlin.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
