Its quite a big hostel. Rooms are quite like a maze and tends to confuse the guests. Thanks to the clear labels posted in virtually every part of the building to keep guests oriented and in the right direction. Rooms are clean. Staff are courteous and helpful all the time. Good job to KRIS in reception for always being helpful...

I stayed here for 3 nights and really liked the place. It's really a big hostel comprised of multiple buildings/sections and on few occasions I found it difficult to find my way. Even to find way from my room to bathroom and kitchen was not easy. But I liked the place and it's ambiance. Rooms are big and beds were...

The hostel is 4 minutes away from the Potsdamer Platz by foot. There are 2 supermarkets within walking distance (less than 2 minutes) : netto and lidl. The beds were really comfy and the sheets very clean. The showers have only curtains but everything was very clean. The living room area is great with big couches and plugs everywhere. There...

My first ever stay in a hostel - and it was much better than I expected! Big common room with lots to do and cheap drinks at the bar. Breakfast was average but cheap. Really great value for money to stay here! Elevator is really slow and a long walk to the room. Thanks for the stay.

This hostel was massive!, can imagine that during the summer its a great place to be. Rooms where all very clean, showers where good, staff were a bit sassy but overall there was a great feel to this place. The lobby was nice there were pool tables and other things to you, you could buy cheap beer at the reception...

First of all there is a very different lobby. It has a good location and kind staff. You start with a great breakfast to new day. Honostly, me and my friends thought that, an easy buffet would be served. We all liked that place.

Perks: 1. Very large and beautiful common room 2. walking distance to bahn station 3. Close to checkpoint charlie & topography of terror 4. Close to mall of berlin Downs: 1. Creepy hallway! Lights are dim and quiet and often have to walk a lot in these hallways cos it is a large hostel building

Lidl supermarket a few metres away. Nice large dorm rooms with a large locker per bed. Wifi was accessible for me on the first floor. Pool tables and huge kitchen. Halls and overall building is a bit old though

I stayed here in September for two days, very good location; very close to Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, Bundestag, various museums and monuments. The hostel seems fairly quiet when I was there. It is close to a grocery store and transportation, staff was helpful and the lounge area was decent. Breakfast was so-so. Overall I thought it was decent value.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
