Novum City B Hotel Berlin Good hotel, right opposite Bulow Strasse U-Bahn Station. Took us approx 26 mins from Schonefeld airport on the RE7 to Alexanderplatz and then a further 15 mins on the U2 u-bahn to Bulowstasse. Hotel is welcoming, clean, spacious rooms, near to shops and cafes and very accessible to Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz and Kurferdannstam - the...

We had a really good sized room with a big double and a single. As we were travelling with a teenage daughter it was important not to feel on top of each other and the room size did not let us down. Opposite the underground station is Bulowstrata which gives you easy access into city Potsdamer Platz (only 3 stops)...

We stayed here last November and it was our 2nd visit to Berlin. We got a great deal on this hotel, only costing us €130 for 4 nights. The hotel is actually located directly across from the U-Bahn station, Bulowstrasse. You can get to any where in the city from the U-Bahn and it's really easy and cheap to use....

Recepcionists are not so friendly. Rooms are clean but not at 100%. Elevators are crashed (there are 3 elevators and we was in the 4th floor. Just one of them had the 4 button). Breakfast buffette is OK. Good connection with U1 & U2. Supermarkets near. Hotel to go with young friends, but not with family or bussines.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a city break. The hotel isnt right in the tourist center but there is an overground metro right outside the hotel which takes you to the center within 10 minutes. I didnt have breakfast at the hotel but I did go to the cafe opposite which was good value for money....

The hotel itself was clean and bright and the room I had was very spacious. Transport links are great with the U-Bahn right outside the hotel, and some great shops and restaurants a 10-15 min walk away. Unfortunatlely on my second day in the hotel I went out for the afternoon and came back to find housekeeping had been in...

It seemed perfect. Cheap, easy and close to the biggest attractions. Well, this was how it was described! Me and my girlfriend bought a package through Thomas Cook, in which it was described to be in a central area that was close to the main attractions. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and the hotel is an extremely rough area of...

Stayed three nights at City B and liked it very much. It was in the winter so I had no problems with the lack of air conditioning. I stayed in a single room which had a decent sice, good single bed and a great bathroom. The Wifi worked without problems, but the choice of TV channels wa very poor. The...

We booked just for one night but we were impressed by: -big rooms with big bed and couch -very big clean bathroom -quite nice view We choose to book without breakfast (students who like to travel as cheap as possible). The city center is quite close, we used to go by foot and also sightseeing the views. We haven't liked...

I was booked a 3 night stay at the Novum Hotel City B for my business trip. The hotel itself is fine, the rooms are okay (I was lucky to be given a big room whereas my other colleagues had very very tiny rooms with below average facilities). It is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is okay with not much...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
