We stayed here for a week in early November. After 16 hours of travel, they couldn't find our reservation, but eventually did and were very accommodating. This was the only hiccup the whole trip. Most Berliners speak English which is convenient. This hotel was a block away from Kurfuerstendamm, the shopping hot spot for Berlin. It's right around the corner...

Location is also a good point Service in the hotel or in the lounge was good Cons: The fitness center is not what you can expect from a Sofitel, really poor Breakfast in the lounge is good but you have to pay...

For our last night in Berlin, we stayed at the Sofitel Kurfuerstendamm. Overall we found it to be a solid four star business hotel, with friendly staff, comfortable beds, and our status with Accor well recognized. While the hotel is slightly dated and lacks the luxury of the nearby Waldorf Astoria, the reasonable prices, location, and service makes it a...

This hotel is just a two minute walk from the big shopping street. It is the same when it comes to a subway station. So the location is very good. We upgraded the room to a room on the 11:th floor. I suggest you do the same. The 11:th floor is a VIP floor and only people who stays on...

First stay at this Sofitel. Nice hotel, helpful staff and fantastic location. Cross the street and you are on Kurfurstendamm or the Kaiser Wilhem Memorial Church and the market surrounding the Memorial. Hotel has nice bar with great bartender-very helpful and very good! Did not eat in hotel restaurant; however, did have breakfast daily and it was fantastic!! Everything you...

It's not cheap, but the quality of the room, bed, and staff is very high. It's not the coolest location in which to stay, but there are good transportation options nearby. If you're a foodie, you'll probably need to get on the train to be satisfied...but only after you take the brief walk to KaDeWe to experience the food hall...

Silent heater. Sound proofed door towards hallway. Two turndown services a day. Delightfull breakfast with american style breakfast. Buffet with all you can imagine. Danish pastery and french macrones. Chef...

The greeting was nice and friendly, however beside the empty words no extras according to my platinum status were offered. No separate check in, no lounge access no champagne on the arrival. Generally the hotel staff is friendly, however they do not have communication manners. Many of them say Hallo, Ciao und Tschüß insted of proper greetings. Unacceptable for me....

We stayed here in December so that we could visit the Christmas markets in Berlin and loved this hotel. When we checked in we found out that we had been upgraded and the room we stayed in was very nice. It was very large, with an amazing bathroom and wet room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
