I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this Hostel. There was a lot of added bonuses I didn't know about that made the stay extra special
I was very happy that it wasn't a big, loud, party, party Hostel but it was super social and friendly. The room was really lovely as well! Bathroom facilities were some of the nicest and most well maintained of the hostels I've stayed in UK/Europe

As far as hostels go, this is probably going to be one of the best ones you will stay at, but it has minor imperfections.
The people working there are outstanding. One person, Jana, went out of her way to help me with a favor even 2 months after me staying! That's just so amazingly nice of her.
Pros:
* no hidden fees for towels or linens. All is included.
* the kitchen is VERY well equipped. Lots of cutlery and pans of all sizes. Sometimes you'll even run into the free butter blocks others leave behind.
* Location is as good as it can be. Lots of nice little restaurants nearby too.
* Lots of group activities from a helpful staff, including group cooking on certain days.
* It has a nice garden which lends itself to great conversations. People tend to come out because there are plenty of spaces for it.
* It generally draws open minded, sociable people to it.
Cons:
* The bed frames are not the best. they were uncomfortable to go up and down from. Also, the beds were touching each other, which made me who's somewhat tall, wish it had more space.
* The price is relatively high when talking about hostels
* The vibe is backpacker leaning, depending on who you are it may be a bad thing.
overall, with its combination of the whole package, the kitchen, the social atmosphere, and the location, few hostels can beat it.

Great hostel with friendly staff and a good location by the U-Bahn. Nice mix between chill and sociable, would recommend for a solo trip. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned regularly and the kitchen is great, although it is a little small for the size of the hostel so can get busy at times

We arrived at around 12 and wanted to drop our bags off and come back later, as we know full well you can’t get into a room until the afternoon at almost every hotel or hostel. However we had no greeting, just “come back at 3”, no one said “Welcome to East Seven” or “Hi there! “, Nothing, so that wasn’t a great entrance.
Anyway we stored our bags here, the storage room is open so it wasn’t particularly safe. We did laundry which you have to give to them which is odd but everything seemed to come back and was clean so all good.
Room was on the top floor, 4th, no lift either which is uncommon and a pain.
No sink in the room unlike many hostels which is a shame, the women’s bathroom on this floor was really dark, maybe needs a new lightbulb or the lampshade cleaning. Toilets and shower were good.
Room was small, bed weirdly placed in the middle of the room, not much space to move. The planks that made up the bed kept falling out which was SO irritating, even happening at night if you moved a muscle. Needs some wooden pins or something, it’s possible they’re in the wrong bed maybe as it seems they’re not wide enough.
Either way the main issue was the heat. They of course can’t control the weather and it was a heatwave over the time we stayed. On the top floor though it was boiling, especially in the rooms compared to the halls, probably due to the see through curtain which didn’t block any light, as shown in the picture taken at 5am (which also wakes you up). They did offer to let us stay in a different room for 2 night then move up for the last but we didn’t want to have to pack up 2 more times after we already laid our things out.
We asked for a fan which we did get but it was so loud it was hard to sleep.
We had 2 uncomfortable nights, no sleep at all. The final night when the heat dropped, the guys in the rooms opposite woke us up at 1:05am Sunday eve/Mon morn. Shouting and chatting in the hall so loud. Had to tell them to shush, but was awake by then of course. They then woke us up AGAIN at 6am, being violently sick in the men’s toilet which was next door to us. Not great. Not the hostels fault but really ruined our last night too.
Staff were nice and helpful. Lots of space in the fridge. Location was great near a station and close to the Wall Memorial. Perhaps if we were on the 1st floor it would have been better but we didn’t enjoy our stay.

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at! The staff, facilities and social events were consistently amazing :) I really appreciated the free dinners twice a week and the reception being open 24 hrs was really helpful as I arrived late at night. Would definitely recommend!

Hands down the best hostel I’ve ever visited! The staff are all so kind and welcoming, and the hostel itself is very social, with social events happening every night as well as plenty of areas to just chill out and relax :) I really appreciated the free family dinners they do. The hostel is quiet after 10pm and all the facilities are clean and easy to use. Thank you eastseven for a wonderful stay!

Stayed here for 4 nights - it’s a very cosy and friendly atmosphere. Kitchen facilities are great! It was a lovely touch to have free breakfast (cereal) each morning. On our first night they had a “Supper Club” where they cooked free food for everyone staying at the hostel - never experienced that before! 5/5

This place was in a great location. Staff were very friendly. Beds were comfy and place was very clean. No air conditioning which was a bit uncomfortable as was 29°c when we came but other than that was lovely. Also a little breakfast was included (toast and muesli) which was a nice suprise when we woke up. Would def recommend.

I booked the EastSeven Hostel for two nights in November. I didn't have a magnificent experience, nor a terrible one, it was just okay.
I had a few minor inconveniences that probably don't happen often, but it was my experience. The only morning that I was able to utilize the free breakfast, it started late and I didn't have time. One morning I wanted to use the lounge to journal the electricity and the outlets weren't working. Also, it was more of a party hostel than I realized.
That being said, I still enjoyed my stay. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe, even in my co-ed room. The employees and fellow guests were kind and respectful. Special shout out to Benjamin, who works there. He is super chill and sweet. Check-in was simple and the laundry service was super convenient. Lastly, I was on the first floor and I didn't hear the noise from downstairs. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but if I needed to be near this area, I wouldn't hesitate. @hellohappyvegan on youtube for full tour.
