Stayed here in January, unfortunately only for one night but would loved to have stayed longer. Our greeting at reception was really friendly and our platinum status was acknowledged. We were super happy to be upgraded to the most amazing junior suite!!!

Most modern and stylish room we have ever stayed in the entire world! We recommend this hotel for couples.
Decor and ambiance was very warm and romantic. Will definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Berlin.
From the minute we checked in (early) until the minute we checked out three days later this was a wonderful experience. The room was large, lovely and spotless. The staff wonderful and extremely helpful. And the location was great. We had a wonderful time in...More
This is a nice, modern and welcoming boutique hotel. I had a standard room which was on the smaller scale but still nice and comfortable. The breakfast area is very nice with a large outdoor space. The gym is small but good enough. Service overall...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop

down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Technically Marriott owns both. We have not stayed at the Marriott Marriott. There is no question the main Marriott is closer to the tourist stuff, but you have to understand that in Germany closer has a different meaning. In Berlin you can get anywhere by public transit or by cab. Because cab fares are regulated, you know what you will pay before you ever start out. The city even has a website to calculate. The Steinplatz is quite close to the Tiergarten and you can walk through it to any of the main spots. As for the Brandenburg Gate perhaps I am strange but it is not even in my top ten places to see. In fact for me the most interesting thing about the Gate is that it is a gathering place for people from all over the world. You can have some fascinating conversations. One way to initiate them is to offer to take pictures of groups with their own cameras/phones. Some pretty good street musicians there also. As I said in my review it does not get any better than the Steinplatz.
