I have stayed in several Ibis hotels throughout Europe and they are usually great value for what you pay for, and this one is no exception. Centrally located in Berlin, close to the S and U bahn, lots of dining options. However I did find it odd that there's no outlet anywhere near the desk or the bed. The only...

Have been back to Berlin for a 5 day break, and once again I was impressed by the staff and the hotel. Friendly and welcoming: and very helpful. Although the room I had stayed in before and had requested again (and been confirmed was reserved for me) for some reason wasn't available, I was given another room on the top...

we decided on Ibis due to the location; which didn't disappoint, short walk to topography of terror and potsdammer plats, the U and S bhan, checkpoint charlie .... the ibis is just perfect for what it is. nice rooms. clean. basic commodities available. the bathroom is nicely laid out and spacious. the elevator was broken when we were there and...

The Overall experience was average (not too good and not bad, nothing special). The room was clean but there is an issue with the sink bowl in the room which was not good experience. One of the elevators was damaged and it was not repaired even after almost one week.

Dear 874by, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn...

I enjoyed my visit to Ibis Potsdamer Platz, which was excellent value for money. My Accor platinum membership was recognised on arrival and I was given a complementary drinks voucher. The free wifi was welcome, although could be rather slow at times. The front desk were very accommodating - they provided an iron and ironing board on request and very...

Took 43 students to this hotel. Very well maintained hotel, a step up in class from its sister hotel next door. Rooms are cosy and comfortable with a nice, if economical, bathroom. Breakfast was generally good although lacked a little range.

I have seen many of the accor chain hotels; the concept is pretty straight forward and simple. So what can make the difference: staff! Very (!) friendly here and very helpfull. Rooms are standard and clean. Area is very good situated; very central and easy to find.

We travelled as two couples. The Hotel is ideal if you are flying into the city. 3.30 Euros ticket allows 2 hours travel all over Berlin and in our case from outlying airport to Anthaler station with only one change. The rail journey is about 35 mins. 2 minute walk across the road to the Hotel. Do not confuse this...

We stayed here three nights in early June. It's a very convenient location about 4 blocks from Checkpoint Charlie and Topography of Terror. It's two blocks from Potsdamer Platz and central to all major Berlin sites. Furnishings are clean but no frills. Bathroom was tiny but wifi was great.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
