Everything about this hotel was brilliant! I booked a number of rooms to use as a base to see Berlin as part of a trip to celebrate my pal's birthday. All the rooms were beautiful with great facilities and the hotel is within 10-15 minutes walk of most of the popular tourist sites of Berlin. It sits on the edge...

I was contemplating between this hotel, the Lux11 & The Weinmeister. As I said I feel this is a nice hotel. It's your standard large 'boutique' with nothing special. I stayed there for 7 nights. 2 of which were over a conference. I arrived on a Monday & left the following Monday. My wife joined me on the 5th night...

To be fair - 1 faulty towers style lady on front desk made an outstanding effort at being quite possibly the rudest person I've encountered in years of travel. I suggest avoiding this hotel just in case you are easily insulted or offended.

We spent 2 nights here 'doing' Berlin. It's in a super location very close to the U Bahn, buses, and trams. A smart entrance, and a great greeting from front desk - we were escorted to our room and received a demo of facilities - becoming rare these days. Being aware of earlier reviews we booked a king size room...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
