Facilities were ok; washing machine and dryer (dryer took AGES to dry clothes and shrunk most, washing machine water was far too hot & dye ran), cheap breakfast at 3e each (we didn't opt for this as it was just continental), rooms were reasonably comfortable but a little cold at night, bathrooms weren't the cleanest with one of the ladies...

I think Sunflower hostel is the place to stay in Berlin. It is on a great location if you want to go clubbing and has excellent connection with the sights of the city. Treptow park is very near, so all in all a great location. Hostel is full of young people willing to meet new people and talk to them,...

Vibrant, cozy, and super nice hostel. Located on the border of Friedrichshein and Kreuzberg 300 meters from the Berghain club. So the location is very very central if you are interested in the more "hip" areas of Berlin. The reception is also a bar where you can get drinks for a good price. The common area around the reception is...

We were 3 of us and stayed for 5 nights in this amazing place. The staff was really helpful and the hostel was very clean. You have the opportunity to meet people from different countries. Highly recommend for young people with free spirit. Very good for guys that love the club culture. All the clubs are in this area, especially...

Though the bar is open almost constantly, it also couples as their reception and food utensil distribution point during the morning so it can get quite hectic. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Berlin. We found our room to be lacking from what was advertised and our bed is the worst quality i've ever slept in. Mattress was razor...

Great hostel. Location was perfect, near a train station and U bahn but on a quiet little street near artistic park. Close to everything. Stores as ALDI, Kaisers, Lidl are really close too..Clubs are just down the road. We stay in double room. The room was spacious, clean and warm. Really liked huge kitchen and dining area shared with a...

In my 5th time in Berlin I stayed at Sunflower and I'm sure I'll stay again in all the next visits, the hostel is absolutely great, cheap, clean, cozy, rooms are big, staff is very helpful and friendly, reception bar with fair prices, just met awesome people and of course, you can reach the supermarket and great cheap restaurants by...

We arrived here and were able to check in early. The staff were very lovely. Our room was very basic but mostly nice, the only problem being our bed - the slats kept popping out whenever we rolled over, so it made sleeping on it a bit nerve wracking! Breakfast is 3 euros, and its all you can eat- which...

I stayed here with my sister for a week, we met quite a few people here due to the young and social nature of the hostel. We were in a room for three and for a few days it was just us which was good. There was a bathroom type thing in our room with a shower and sink but...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
