*The best thing about the hostel was the location, it was not more than 30 minutes walk from most of the center attractions. *The staff where ok, the day shift where way better. *The rooms where clean and equipped with the least things ever, however, very humid and quite smelly (because we where 8 people in one room) *the showers...

The hostel is very nice. Next to a metro line, so it's easy to get there and go anywhere you want. Also, there is a supermarket nearby. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is okay. The only problem was the cold bathroom

It is a hostel. Not a hotel to begin with! Good things about the hostel: it is very modern for it being a hostel and very clean. There's a nice little lobby area and access to the Internet also free wifi. It is located right near a train station and near a supermarket and mc Donald's aswell! But if you're...

The worst hostel in in my life. - Really stinky carpets. - No warm water in toilets. - Only 2 toilet seats per 50-100 males. - Shower button press activates water for 10 seconds. Warm water runs out in the evening. - Kitchen does not have adequate kitchenware, fridges broken, no cups, forks, knifes, pans, etc. - Lack of soap...

No warm water during Winter which is not acceptable, the place wasn't clean and some windows were broken. Hopefully the people who were working for the hostel were nice but this is the only positive thing I can say about it.

The experience is always very subjective, so I can only speak for myself, but as a 30yo girl travelling alone, I can say that this place was decent enough for one night. Bathrooms were not the cleanest however the water was hot which is all that matters to me. I didn't use any other facilities such as kitchen or commonroom...

The hostel is located near Checkpoint Charlie and many other atractions so it is great for moving around the city. They offer breakfast and we couldn't have it neither of the two days we were here, they had to give us the money back. Also we added one more night to our stay and they made us change the room...

I've been in this hostel on december. It has good price and a good position. It was quiet and clean, with a nice space to share with the other hostings. There was a bus stop, and the subway very close, and It was Easy to move in the Whole city.

I spent 5 nights in this hostel and my overall experience was OK. The beds were confortable, the room had lockers for everyone and also had a mirror and two chairs (which disapleared after 3 days o.o) and it was spacious. However the floor was a bit dirty, there were not many showers and toilets so by the end of...

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
