My wife and I were visiting Berlin for the first time in over forty years, having served in West Berlin as a military family. This was a great part of the now United city close to the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel is comfortable but as with most older buildings the rooms are not large. The breakfast was excellent with a huge...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Fantastic stay! Rooms are clean, staff very friendly and easy to approach as most also speak English. Reception are also very helpful when asking for directions for tourist attractions and also booked us a taxi to the airport as we found the transport system far too complicated and we didn't want the hassle before an early morning flight. Will definitely...

This hotel is located close to where many nice (but not expensive) restaurants are. The rooms are very practical, the staff very attentive, and everything is very clean. I can recommend the breakfast; on nice days, you can even sit outside in the backyard.

Nice hotel. Very good roomstandard. A cosy bar in the lobby with great food. The breakfast procedure was a little bit peculiar. And a little bit boring. A bit of too much inside the box...a bit more diversity wouldn't hurt. Nothing wrong with standarised breakfast but...boring! :)

Dear orjanf2017, thank you for your great review. We are happy that your time with us was great! We would love to receive more tips on our possible breakfast improvements? We will have our own honey produced by our "own" bees on the rooftop from the summer on - I am sure you will like it. Please come back any...

I stayed two nights in the hotel. It is in a very handy place for tourisms. The service was friendly. The area is quiet. Hotel itself is very comfortable. Expensive buffet breakfast was generous, but was not included in the price. Therefore many visitors had their breakfast outside in very good and reasonably priced cafe'es.

We stayed here for 1 night in May and found the value to be great. The beds were nice and comfortable and the room was well presented and clean. The room was a little hot a times, and we questioned if the A/C actually worked but it wasn't too much of a problem. Breakfast was great and you pay what...

Stayed here with my husband in April 2017. We stayed for 3 nights. It was a convenient spot to stay while exploring the city. It was a 15-20 minute walk to The Reichstag and other sights. We did not eat breakfast here but there were some good bakeries nearby to buy pastries etc. The hotel did not provide bottled water...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
