The hotel has an elevator that starts half way up a set of stairs and lets people off mid-floor so you still have another half set of stairs to do (in other words, completely useless) which aptly sums up the hotel.

The hotel is in great location over looking the East Side Gallery and most of the things we planned to do where within walking distance. All of the staff are welcoming and helpful and the room was basic but clean. Great value for money.
the hotel is ok especially if you go to an event at Mercedes arena. Good transportation..not the best area in Berlin, it depends on what you have to do. The hotel could need a good inside renovation such as wall, carpets...but the rooms have space,...More
Pretty basic place. Nothing to complain about- nothing to rave about. Staff was super friendly. I was jet lagged and it was very quiet so I got good sleep. I stayed here to go to an event at Mercedes Benz theatre so that was perfect!...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
