We were upgraded to a huge suite which was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed which was cleaned every day. The suites are in a great location, very quiet, close to bus stops and U stations. The staff were very friendly and a special shout-out to the manager who was lovely! The restaurant downstairs (Maximilans) is highly recommended. I'd definitely stay here again, and it was a shame we were only in Berlin for three nights!

Apartment hotel very centrally located in the city center. The subway station is directly opposite. Many shops, such as those on the large Friedrichstrasse, are in the immediate vicinity. Directly opposite is also a well-stocked Alnatura shop with fresh baked goods. We were very happy with our room on the 4th floor and with the room cleaning. It had 2 balconies, one of which faced the inner courtyard. This meant we could open the window at night without it being too noisy. The wellness area and breakfast room are on the 8th floor. Breakfast costs 25 euros per person per day, which we had not booked. The breakfast alternatives in Berlin or breakfast in your own apartment were too attractive and cheaper. The wellness area includes a small fitness room, which they kindly opened earlier for us in the morning (from 7 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.). In the room there are 2 treadmills (one of which is broken), 1 cross trainer, 1 recumbent bike and 1 rowing machine as well as dumbbells. There are no mats. The equipment is unfortunately somewhat neglected - probably because it has not been used much. There was also no cleaning material, which was only provided on the 4th day after we had asked for it twice. The service times of the reception staff show that the apartment hotel is an "outpost" of the Mandala Hotel. The reception is only open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (from 9 a.m. on weekends). So if you need more frequent care and are looking for more contact with other guests, the hotel is probably better off. For us, it was fine. What we would improve would be a small minimum set of cleaning materials in the kitchen. Even if you don't want to cook a lot, you need a tea towel, some washing-up liquid and a sponge. We bought all of this on the first evening. In other apartment hotels we have stayed in, there was a kind of "starter set" in the kitchenette, which was very helpful. Apart from these little things, we are very satisfied and would come back anytime.

After several satisfactory days with no issues, we came back to the hotel after being out for most of the day to find that room service had not been provided, despite having left the sign on the door requesting that the room be made up (and for the reader’s interest, we had been leaving tips out for the cleaning staff). This was a minor annoyance, and I simply reported the problem and requested some clean towels for the evening. The person at reception was understanding, but simply said that this should not have happened, then looked at me blankly. The following day, after having left earlier and been out longer (and having again left the sign out requesting that the room be made up), we again came back to find the suite unmade. I reported the problem again (to a different reception person), and requested the room be made up asap, which I was assured would happen immediately. After an hour, I again went to reception, expressed my disappointment (to a third person) that nothing had happened, and requested the room NOT be made up, as my wife needed a rest and I wanted to use the bathroom to clean up after a day out walking. Three-quarters of an hour later, there was a loud knock on the door, which was then opened and a raised voice saying it was room service. Finally upset, I called down to reception and spoke again to the second of the three staff I had spoken to previously about the hotel’s problem with their room service. I made it clear I was very unhappy and wanted the issue addressed by the hotel management. The reception person again acknowledged that the service had been unsatisfactory, was completely sympathetic, and assured me I would most definitely be contacted either later that day or the following morning at the latest by a senior member of management, and would be provided with some material compensation for the repeated poor service. We checked out at midday the following day, without having heard any more. Each of the 3 reception staff I had spoken to had been sympathetic, and had volunteered that the service wasn’t satisfactory and that the issues should not have occurred. All lip service only. Either the staff had insufficient initiative or authority (or perhaps both?) to actually do anything about the issues, and had also manifestly failed to communicate with their own room service staff. Such a pity, as the physical suite and facilities were absolutely fine.

my brother and brother-in-law were visiting me in berlin, and so i wanted to find a centrally located, roomy place with a balcony and kitchen—where they would have privacy & feel comfortable, while still allowing us to spend as much time together as possible: the suite had an option of adding a single bed to the living room area, which meant i could stay with them. the separate toilet and bath were also very helpful considering we had 3 people.
i wouldn't recommend this set up for just anyone, however; one person is certainly getting the short end of the stick being in the main living space with a double sized bed and no nearby outlets. this person has to also choose between keeping their things in the suite's hallway storage closet or the bedroom's wardrobe. with this in mind, it's very suitable for families & seems like a great place for a couple with a child.
a few things: the kitchen was simple and lacked a coffee maker, but we made due. both netflix and casting weren't working in the living room's TV, so we resorted to gathering around an ipad and bluetooth speaker, which was not ideal. lastly, the bathrobes/slippers/hangers were supplied with 2 people in mind, despite booking the room for 3.

Spacious apartment with bedroom, living room, bathroom, toilet, small kitchen and storage room - great for the price! Rattan furniture and carpet not quite up to date, but very comfortable.
No filter bags for the coffee machine, a Nespresso machine would be up to date. No USB plugs on the bed or desk, WiFi cable connection on the desk is superfluous. Socket at the desk can only be found when lying under the desk...
Great breakfast location on the 8th floor with a great view, really lovely service! Always top friendly service at reception, small repairs are done immediately!

The suites are in a central location with a u-Bahn station literally in front of the building that made it easy to get to so many places. The suite was roomy, comfortable and well appointed. There is a laundry room with washers, dryers and iron which was very handy in the middle of a 5 week trip around Europe, Highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mandala Suites. All the staff were amazing and did eveything to make sure our stay was enjoyable - daily housekeeping was excellent. The apartment was of a high standard, with all the facilities that we needed, including a storage (luggage) room, a great rain shower, and laundry facilities. We ate most of meal in the apartment so having a dishwasher was a great plus. Location was excellent - 5 supermarkets within 500 meters (including Galeries Lafayette, where we bought our daily baguette!). The U2 and U6 (Stadtmitte) was right outside the door of the Suites, and there was a pleasant restaurant with a great selection of local beers on the ground floor. Highly recommended!!!

We were advised to stay here by a friend and it certainly didn’t disappoint! You have all the amenities of a hotel but with the option of self-catering which is perfect for us. The suites are central to lots of tourist attractions such as Checkpoint Charlie and there are a number of bars, restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate area. The staff are attentive and very helpful if you have any questions! We will definitely stay here again on our return to Berlin!

The Mandala Suites was an excellent place to stay right in the middle of Berlin. If you like to stay in a discreet, quite location this is the place to be even though you are in the middle of everything exciting about Berlin. There is no busy lobby with guests going in and out. The place was always quit at night and you rarely saw any of the other guests. The staff is top notch and extremely helpful with can-do attitudes. Everybody spoke German and English so communications was a breeze. The breakfast is typical German and the staff will make you coffee drinks to your liking. The gym facility is nice and clean with 2 saunas. The rooms were clean and on the larger side when compared to other hotels in Germany. We had a suite with a bedroom and a living/kitchen area stocked with fridge, microwave, cups/dishes/utensils, couch and a nice sized desk. The cleaning crew cleaned every day and did a marvelous job. The Manadala Suites were well run and the staff was efficient. This will be my go to place in Berlin.
