We stayed here for six nights on the recommendation of friends who had stayed here last year. It exceeded our expectations. The apartment was much larger than we imagined and much fresher in decoration than the photos on the website showed. The staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. There's a daily chambermaid service and our chambermaid was very conscientious -...

Veeery nice hotel! Super location - 10 min walk to popular Kreuzberg places. 20 min to Alexanderplatz. Room also very big. It was an appartment with kitchen and 2 rooms. Very quite. Breakfast very rich and taisty. Service also very kind and helpful. Underground parking for 12 EUR a day. Very good price.

We had an excellent three night stay in the NH Berlin Kreuzberg, with a clean, quiet and comfortable room in a handy location. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty with pleasant service - even printing out our boarding passes and taking care of washing some clothes. I couldn't recommend more.

I had a large room on 3rd floor. nice and quit. the room had a kitchenette and large living room with couch. the entrance sits behind the building when you arrive at the address. which means it is away from the noisy streets. unfortunately the wifi was worse then in 90s. i bought a premium access but pages continued to...

We spent 10 nights in an apartment and it was perfect for our needs. Clean, light and spacious with comfortable beds and we appreciated free use of laundry whenever needed. There is an Aldi store just steps from the front entrance, and a Kaisers store opposite. A good variety of cafes and restaurants close by, and public transport readily available...

Been to Berlin in the first weekend of september 2016. Due to hot weather all windows were open but gave a lot of noise from people in the appartments adjacent to the hotel. No airco, so that was too bad. Bed to hard for my comfort. It's nice to have a kitchen but there is no real place to eat....

This hotel is everything you don't want in a hotel. You arrive and park your car, communications are so bad, you'll wander around the basement looking for a way out. When you find it, it's a small glass panel with another name on and one of a number of exits to the apartments above. Second thing no night reception and...

On arrival we were told that we were upgraded to a suite, it was lovely. Bed was comfy, facilities excellent and just an all round nice place to stay. About 5 minute walk to some lovely cafes and restaurants and about 20 minute walk into Berlin city centre. Only 15 minute walk from ostbahnhof station which is a 15 minute...

The location is good, just 5 minutes' walk from the underground. Supermarkets and cafes nearby. Wifi was stable. The room was cleaned every day!! I enjoyed the stay and it was good value for money. I am a bit picky. If the utensils in the pantry were cleaner and the electric kettle was renewed. That will be perfect!

Had a great stay at this hotel. Easy walk to Alexander Platz and public transport. Staff very friendly, room large and very comfortable. Our first time in Berlin and if/when we return we will be staying here again and advising friends to do the same.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“If you want to skip the expensive breakfast, there's an Aldi a few feet away and a more "American" supermarket (Kaiser) a short block away. Got everything we needed there. Room was very quiet, not surprising given the off-street location.”
