I stayed in this hotel in February 2017 and the experience was quite disappointing. While I understand that this is not a four or five star service, some basic facilities such as functional internet service and rooms where you don't hear every single word of your neighbours should be standard. Good points: centrally located and room was rather spacious (albeit...

Comfortable hotel with good friendly staff and service. Quick Check In with good English, as I'm Irish! The room was clean room with a comfortable bed. They provided a large bottle of still and sparkling water.

We stayed there a week for New Year's. On the plus-side: small price and big rooms with good beds in a great location. However, from staff and service to room and general appearance: in need of an update. It has an old air about it which might seem refreshing, what with the big room, double bathroom sink and that, but...

Hotel is easy to find from the underground and is only a 15 minute walk from the S-Bahn. Checking in was quick and easy and a code was given for the free wi-fi, only one person person, any extra and you pay €10. The room was comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and ours overlooked the main road, but it was not...

The lobby is really nice, very close to u-Bahn station and large department store. Bed was comfortable and room is nice size. No fridge and no outlets next to bed. The only outlets were by the door and in the bathroom. Also the internet is passworded and you have 24 hrs for each password so it is kind of annoying...

Dear court2190, Many thank for your review. We would like to give attention to the criticism because of the missing electrical outlets. Our house was already built in 1965, so many electrical outlets weren't needed at that time. There are more current sources in our newly renovated rooms. We would be pleased if you come back to us again. Best...

It was a great pleasure for me to stay at the Sorat Ambassador Hotel for two nights. It is probably a large hotel, but maintains a warm friendly family feeling. It is in a very central location, BUT also very quiet because Bayreuter Strasse is a cul-de-sac and there is hardly any traffic, and would be good for people travelling...

The hotel is ok. It's clean and tidy but the rooms are so small. When we stayed it was 35 degrees and boy do you feel it! No air con is a big minus! The bathroom was ok again basic. The location is good it's right near wittenbergplatz U Bahn which takes you all over the city. It's also right...

Hotel facade and reception area gives the impression that this hotel is modern and somewhere you wouldn't think twice about staying. However the corridors, doors and entire room needs upgrading. Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
