A great price for a great location. Hotel was nice and clean, very simple. My only surprise was I thought breakfast was included and I was charged 15 Euro for it upon checking out. I should have looked into that beforehand though. Overall I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good room in a great location at...

Dear katieinistanbul, thank you very much for your kind review and for taking the time to write it. Thank you for acknowledging how fair our prices are. In general, breakfast is not included except for it is clearly indicated otherwise (on your hotel bill for example). 15 € seems a bit much for breakfast at first but it is a...

This clean, well presented budget hotel, is very well placed for the sights of Berlin. True the reception is across the road and we thought the breakfast was over priced at 25 euros for 2. But the room was basic but fine and clean, the free WIFI worked fine and in all we thought it was a great place to...

Fine place to stay for an overnight visit, flying in late one night and departing the next morning. Quite minimalist, but nothing to object to for an overnight stay. Breakfast had a good variety on offer too.

Dear MOKO_BOLO, thank you for taking the time to write your review. I have to agree. The Hotel Allegra used to be a bit "plain". But this is all changing now since we are renovating and reconstructing everything (step by step). We are actually in the middle of the process. So I see it as a good sign you did...

We have just come back from a 3 night stay here. I would say the hotel is basic but clean! The location is fab, really close to a major station for travel and has a few bars and restaurants around it! Great pub called the Berliner republic at the bottom on the street and next to that a great German...

Great location and beside train station. Staff very nice on reception. Bathrooms are small and like an airplane toilet! Wifi very poor, l did speed test and only getting under 1 mb 😮 there was building renovation going on and we were woken up at 8am by hammering and builders shouting. It would have nice to be informed of this...

location is great, 200m away from a major U,S bahn and tran station called Friedrichstrasse. value for money is excellent, room is clean, bed is comfortable, we checked in in 10 min, really quick, room was ready on spot. I liked that it had adjustable temperature. Bathroom and shower a bit small but at this location and price, there is...

I found the hotel on the internet and made reservations prior to departing home. We stayed at the Allergra hotel two nights. It was well located for sightseeing in Berlin. The room was not large but was comfortable. No Air conditioning. WIFI was available. A good breakfast buffet was provided. We thought the value was good. The staff was friendly...

The best thing about this hotel is its location in the center of Berlin and close by to many touristic destinations and Berlin HBF, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room is wide and clean, the internet is ok, there are many restaurants in the same street, the street can get a bit loud at night.

Booked the hotel for a five day tourist stay in Berlin. The hotel is well run, the reception desk (across the road in its sister hotel) was friendly and efficient. The room was average size with a modular ensuite. The beds had comfortable memory foam mattresses. I only used the restaurant for breakfast, but this was a good quality buffet...

I can only say good things about this place. The location is great, so close to the city. We walked most of the time, but Bahnhof Friedrichsstrasse is just around the corner. The rooms were okay, just a basic city hotel. Everything was clean and got cleaned every day. Our room was facing the street, which was a bit noisy,...

Dear 18Kat78, thank you very much for your gentle review and for taking the time to write it. I enjoyed reading your kind words about our attentive and friendly service staff and our busy housekeeping staff. I am sure they will be happy to hear about it. I am wondering why there were street noises since it is a quiet...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
