The Park Inn By Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz delights guests with its modern and quirky atmosphere, though some suggest it could benefit from a refresh. Nestled in the heart of Alexanderplatz, its prime location garners praise for convenience to transport and attractions, even amidst nearby construction. However, reviews indicate dissatisfaction with extra fees for essentials like coffee and luggage storage, overshadowing the value proposition.
While the staff's friendliness receives commendation, service experiences are varied, with some guests encountering slow responses. Room cleanliness stands out positively, but privacy issues in frosted glass bathrooms and additional charges for amenities leave some travelers wanting.

Detailed Reviews
Arrive at 2AM in the morning, but I have booked a day before so I still can get my room to check in. The reception is kind and fast. The flixbus stop at Alexanderplatz is just across this hotel so Im very lucky though tired arrived midnight but in a minute I have entered my room.
Location is very strategic to the tourist spot, everything is just nearby, the Galleria mall, all shops we need are just around the hotel only throw stone away. We can walk from the hotel until Brandenburger tor through the Unter den Linden Strasse and till Victory Column and everywhere as the bus, trem, subway are a minute away from the hotel's door.
Hotel is nice and renovated one but still has somewhat retro style atmosphere such as in lobby and in a breakfast area at 2nd floor. I'm happy I can stay here as this hotel is part of East Germany Interhotel chain before in 1970 as it opened as Hotel Stadt Berlin (I read from Wiki). Well, our room is nice fully refurbish also the floor at the 10th fl are new it is like a new hotel i mean. However the room that I booked has a bit strange lay out, the shower room and the washtafel is separated and only covered by a curtain to the bedroom, but all are absolutely ok. The room faces to Galleria and the TV Tower (very close one), good view from hotel's window, we can see the busy Christmas Market below too. However, I should asked the kettle and such as when arrived I didn't see they have set it up, other than that everything is great!
Breakfast is nice and have much variety of the food, the breakfast area is big but always full because we know this hotel have more than thousand room so suggest to come as early as possible. The staff is kind and always checking around and pre bussing the table. Also fast to refill the buffet not until empty, very good.
Storage is available but not free, 2 euro per bag for the whole day. Toilet at the lobby isn't free but as a guest you can go to the 2nd floor, no worries. Hotel staff here are really helpful. So overall service meet my expectation, I will definitely stay here again in a future. Thank you very much!.

The location of the hotel is very central, with all big stores around it, many fast food restaurants, Primark, C&A, etc. The breakfast was very good, for Euros 19. the only remark would be that there was no water offered in the room, not even two small bottles like all hotels do, no refrigerator, which is ok, but also no kettle, coffee, tea and sugar. Also to order a bottle of water or a coffee in the room you have to pay a charge of 5 Euros, which is a bit unusual.

Central location, rooms were functional, although shower in the room with just a shower curtain separating it from the bed wasn’t a great layout.
The hotel has 30+ floors. Buffet breakfast offered a reasonable selection of hot and cold food. The hotel bar was quite welcoming. The sauna was a welcome facility after a day sightseeing in the Berlin winter.

located in the heart of Alexanderplatz, the hotel is a unique landmark in the area, close to all Berlin's top sites. Nice and spacious common spaces, clean rooms. friendly staff. We asked for a room in the high floors and they satisfied our demand without any extra charge.
Δεν άρεσε · poor amenities in the bathroom. It is supposed to be a 4* star hotel, but there is nothing in the room to make it seem like a 4* hotel. The room was too small, the bed was also tiny for 2 people, not comfy at all, and the bathroom is not well designed. You definitely can't shower without making a mess with water. The shower door is not closing properly. The bathroom overall is really awkward to use due to the "glass sandblasting" doors, especially when you stay with a friend. We asked for extra towels because we used the ones we had to clean the water from the floor, but never arrived in our bathroom. The hotel is TOO crowded. TOO crowded, seems like all Berlin's tourists are staying there, so it is a total chaos to move around the place and more specific in the reception. I would definitely think it twice before booking again.

I don’t want to add to much to the already extensive commentary about why the hotel is so bad, it’s all true and worse. Yes the check in is awful, yes the room layout odd, the breakfast mediocre and the staff are too busy fighting against the sheer volume of complaints to get the basics right. In terms of three specific bits of feedback that could be quickly addressed:
1) offer customers a drink or something when they arrive and you can’t check them in because of volume. There is lots of commentary on here already about needing to have all desks open etc... which I won’t repeat, but as this is your first impression you are offering your customers you really must try harder.
2) was dumbfounded, though I suppose not surprised given everything else, that you charge customers to store their bags at check in / check out. I’ve never come across this in any 3*, let alone supposedly 4* hotel. (I also found the fact you only got 2 included coffee pods in the room per booking rather than 2 per day very poor and was again surprised roof access was an extra cost for patrons too).
3) find a better way to offer water at breakfast. It’s routinely empty for 10-15 minutes at a time in spite of the tinny glasses you offer. There must be a machine you could plumb in to do a more efficient job.
If you’re in the market for a very basic hotel in a central location, then this could be for you. It wasn’t for us.

The location is great, and the rooms are fine. You have to know the person you are sharing with pretty comfortably as the bathroom is essentially in the room, with the toilet hidden just behind a glass door. Personally, I hate the lack of privacy, but it seems to be a ‘thing’ in a lot of European hotels I’ve been to.
The rooms lack a lot of amenities that VERY basic hotels offer in the UK (I’m talking Premier Inn and Travelodge). Most notably - there is no kettle. There is also no water available to guests on arrival which again isn’t the end of the world, but a bit of an expectation when you advertise yourself as 4 star.
Quite limited Breakfast if you have dietary requirements - but I get not all hotels really care about that sort of stuff. Luckily Berlin as a city caters for everyone fantastically.
But otherwise it’s a good location, I slept well and it was a good base for getting out and about.
One thing I would recommend the hotel REALLY reconsider is charging to leave luggage - so unnecessary! I have never been to another hotel that charges for this very basic service.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your impressions with us. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our house and thank you for your feedback. On the subject of luggage, I would like to tell you why. We offer our guests this service with personal care and in a lockable room. Since we are still in very uncertain times, we have given the safety factor luggage a high priority for you as a guest and for our house. I hope you can understand that, given the size of our house and its location. If your trip takes you back to Berlin, we look forward to welcoming you again. My wife (diabetic) is far more comfortable with buffet restaurants than set menus. We booked this hotel (as opposed to many other possible choices) based on the excellent location on Alexanderplatz plus (crucially) Humboldt's buffet restaurant on the 2nd floor, advertised on the website as being open for Sunday brunch plus every evening. The reality is that while the Sunday brunch was excellent, the restaurant was only open on ONE of the four nights we stayed - and then (in hindsight) that was only due to a large group making a booking. What really irritated us was that on the one night it was open, we made our way to some really comfortable seats, only to be told that area was for "die Gruppe" (the group); worse, we were then moved - with a small number of other independent travellers - to a table by the window, from which a horrible draught could be felt. We refused to sit there, and moved (unchallenged) to another table in a warmer area. This hotel should be outstanding, but it arrogantly caters mainly to groups, at the expense of the individual traveller. My wife and I love Berlin; 100% we will return but 100% we will not return to this hotel. A pity, because many of the staff are friendly and kind; for example, one waitress made sure that at breakfast every morning i was brought a plate of salmon and herring, not on the buffet (I don't eat meat). But why no honesty on the website: Humboldt's restaurant "open daily subject to (stated) minimum number of guests"?

Great Location, not so great Hotel. Small rooms, no coffee making facilities, rather basic. The lobby was almost as busy and noisy as Times Square 24/7. To use the basic washroom facilities at lounge level incurred a charge!! Staff in breakfast room most uncooperative, basic training being the issue. Recommend a very "wide berth".

+1
The whole staff should be fired and replaced.
The experience was bad since I have arrived at the hotel where the front desk employee just ignored us.
The shower and the sink are in the room, only the toilet has a separate spot which only has a glass door with some moderate insulation.
The "rain" shower nozzle did not work, the soap stand was broken, the shower stand was broken.
This hotel does not feel 4 stars, do not expect it to be. It definitely does not deserve the "by Radiosson" brand.

have had previously good experience from Radisson Park inn. that was not the case with this hotel. Extreme long check in lines. Room was not very clean. Found an old sock in our room for example. GYM had one working treadmill ( not a lot for hotel with almost 1000 rooms) and one other working machine. No cups for the water, which of course can happen. But as I came down 2 days later, they were still out of cups. (That tells you how they run ( or not run) their operations. On new years eve, the cleaner found it relevant to knock on all doors at 8.30 to find out where she could clearn. No problem since I was awake, but once again. Are you supposed to wake up people at 8.30 on a "red day". To me this is very good example when you try to maximize profit and rely on the good location of the hotel. Most likely this hotel has very few reoccurring guests, if any. .

Yes it is well placed for the markets etc. I suggest using the hop on hop of tour bus that stops at every attraction. Reasonably priced with a running commentary in 10's of languages.
That would be "Alexanderplatz station" train goes direct there from airport
Hi, a very good place to enjoy breakfast or brunch in Berlin is Spreegold Mitte (Rosa Luxembourg Straße 2, 10178 Berlin). Very relaxing, tasty and nice to pass a good time with friends.
Take care
