Around 10 min. walk from Alexanderplatz, but tram is available just outside the hotel. Rooms a bit worn out, on my bathroom the cover in front of one of the water gauges went off so that there was a hole through the wall, not the best impression. Internet unstable in the room, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn´t. Chose the...

Reception friendly, helpful and professionel. Situation perfect (10 min on foot to Alexanderplatz) but public transport just across road. Breakfast very complete and well presented. Room 909 was "gigantic" but bathroom very small. A pity hotel is situated near a derilict building (gives an unsafe feeling). Ouside of hotel is very "East-German" but inside is nice. Contrary to hotel description...

It's about one kilometer from Alexanderplatz in fact, so not that near the subway and train stations. The hotel does not have a restaurant, and the surrouding area has none. The property is oldish but well maintained, the rooms are spacious, the bathroom had just been renewed. They serve a buffet breakfast with a rich choice of food. The WiFi...

The room cleaning was the worst ever. They didn't even change the dirty towels we put in the floor - they hanged them up again!! And they didn't clean the room more than made the beds... we got woke up by the cleaners hitting the door with the vacuum cleaner every damn morning. Would not stay here again. Btw, breakfast...

All rooms are very spacious and feel more like a suite as there are in fact 2 rooms, totalling 65 sq meters. The hotel location also is great also, as it is situated 5 min from the Alexanderplatz! Breakfast also was enjoyable, with a wide variety of options

I stayed at 315 - a nice, large and clean rooms with large balcony. Coffee and tea in your room, Coca Cola vending machine on the hall. Very pure internet signal. Cleaning staff did a gr8 job every day of our stay.

Rooms were clean and service was pretty good. Breakfast was bland. Internet was basically non-existent. Location is pretty good, just a quick walk to Alexanderplatz and lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. Generally fine for a budget option, but I will probably spring for an upgraded hotel next time I'm in Berlin.

Extremely friendly staff, both in reception (was upgraded to Privilege at arrival), and not to forget the cleaning staff - room was perfect through our entire 4 days stay. Hope they will receive my comments on their very nice job at the 8th floor. My best advise is probably to buy a Berlin card in the reception at once you...

A typical East German construction, looking more like flats than a hotel. Opposite a huge renovation site and adjacent to a busy road and tram junction, which is useful for city transport. The building next door is due for demolition. The room although very spacious had tired decor, the bathroom was however very good, no bath but an adequate shower....

As a tourist this was a good place to stay. Had everything we needed, the service was okay and the rooms clean. The hotel is conveniently located to quite a few tourist locations. We made use of the bicycles to tour the city at night. Can recommend to other travelers.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“Mine had a balcony maybe 3-4 feet wide x 12 feet (or more--the width of the room). Empty window boxes (would have been nice to have them planted with fall-blooming flowers) and no patio furniture. This would be a near-luxe room were the balcony suitable to sitting with a glass of wine or cuppa joe. Bedding is very comfortable large duvets, huge euro-style square pillows, large 6-foot desk with lamp, plug-ins, phone, coffee pot, etc., Many floor and table lamps make it easy to keep the ambience without having ceiling lights on all the time.Huge "turn of the century Alexanderplatz" wall mural. Leatherette-covered loveseat opens to a 3rd bed. Lots of open space in the room--not at all crowded with furniture. But it could use one comfortable armchair with an ottoman and I would have been in heaven. All this for under 80E.”
