We got some advice about local food from the reception desk wich is very helpful. Every day when we went back to the hotel, every thing is tidy. You can slao find free drinks in the fridge. Shampoo and body wash is available there.

I booked this hotel as I was offered a fabulous deal via Norwegian Air who flew me into Berlin. I admit I was sceptical in terms of the price, especially compared to their usual charge for the night (why was I getting this half price just because I bought a cheap flight?) but wow, everything it said on the tin...

I think it was located at a more quiet side of Mitte away from most of the eatery and hip places were. However that wasn't so mug of a problem for us as the metro was very close to the hotel i.e. Just across the street. Room was clean but was expecting the toilet to be bigger which reminded me...

The hotel is very nice. there is a big supermarket a few minutes away and an U-Bahn stop just outside the hotel, and Its about 7 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. The rooms where nice and cosy, and had a lot of room for everything we needed. There was bad cell phone reception in the room, and while sitting in the...

Didn't eat in hotel but Indian restaurant across the street was superb. Lovely bar in reception and rooms were very nice. Would stay here again and recommend to visitors to Berlin.

My wife and i stayed at this hotel 18th Feb to 21st for a sight seeing break of Berlin. The hotel is across the road from the nearest u Bahn station ( Markisches museum)on the u2 line, although strangely the hotel has not changed the main sign which states Residenzhotel Henriette, but this is the Derag Living hotel. Dear guest, thank you so much for your detailled feedback. We are sorry for the confusion. Derag Livinghotel is the name of the company our hotels belong to. The name of our hotel as such is Berlin-Mitte, we used to be Derag Livinghotel Residenzhotel Henriette but changed the name to Derag Livinghotel Berlin-Mitte. As so many of our guests are...

A large group of us stayed here for two nights and we were very happy with the hotel. The service was good and there was a good spread for breakfast. Rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. There is not a bar in the building so we had to use the sister hotel across the road which we found expensive. The...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
