Large, modern business and conference hotel. Does what it says on the tin. Affordable business centre. Wifi in public areas; reasonable basic internet connection in rooms (free); faster if you need it (at cost). Located in "little Istanbul" area of Berlin - an immmigrant area on the outskirts, this is not central Berlin.

Start with this; a week is too short. We did the highlights and started looking for places we could explore more thoroughly, but by then museums were closed on Mondays and we had to make plans to go home. The hotel was next to a circle metro stop, so once we figured out the trains, everything was much easier. Yes,...

Rooms were clean and tidy but as usual my pet hate with European hotels are the thin square pillows, these things are not comfortable at all but that's a personal thing. Aside from that rooms are more than adequate but as usual rooms a touch warm. The ac can't be cranked any harder. Conference facilities are first rate but location...

I stayed at the Estrel Berlin for a conference. The rooms were nice and clean. Temperature control was a bit of an issue, but it was manageable. The restaurants on-site had good food and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay again! The location was away from the sites of Berlin. If you don't plan to do sightseeing, it...

Hotel Estrel is enormous. The good thing is, the layout of everything allows you to navigate without getting lost. Believe me when I say, if anyone is going to get lost it would be me! The rooms are located on the four corners of the complex with the central area containing the restaurants and seating areas and bar. This part...

I have never encountered hotel staff as bad mannered and graceless in my life. Every single proposal i had for the lobby staff, including checking in and out was a major problem. The hotel was very nice, but i would never go back there because of bad service and ignorant staff. I arrived with a group counting over 900 people....

The Estrel Hotel is extremely impressive just by its size. It is located somewhat out of the way, but easily reached by subway and bus. And certainly able to manage a convention. Rooms are nice, large and functional. Everything is clean. Breakfast is very good. Also the reataurant, especially the small "ethnical" one, is surprisingly good. Service is very friendly.

I stayed for about a week for a convention. My room was large and nice, especially for Europe. The shower and separate tub were quite comfortable. I also had a little sitting area and a desk. I also enjoyed the atrium cafe, which served excellent cappucinos and snacks and had a friendly waitstaff. I was there in June, and the...

Have been to Berlin a few times, but this time was with a group of 40, a choir attending a festival. Hence, an hotel with lots of rooms would be ideal. Estrel hotel in berlin is one of the largest hotels in Europe with more that a thousand rooms. So large that you had like 4 different wings and you...

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
