We spent a great time in Berlin. The hotel is new and fancy, close to everything. The room was great and big, excellent service, wonderful breakfast and fast free Internet. What else you need for a great vacation! !! Definitely will come again!

In a great position for Berlin Mitte, it offers a beautiful breakfast area and my room was extremely quiet. Friendly staff, high-speed and very stable (free) internet connection (a dream to an IT professional). On the other hand my single room was really extremely small, I mean *extremely* small, still very comfortable despite the dimensions (not advertised at the time...

Great staff, great location, very clean and tidy, superb breakfast and our room was wonderful (room 3). Highly recommended. This is a great all round hotel in a really nice part of the city. Everything is close by and there are some really good bars and restaurants right on your door step.

We were really pleased with our staying in Hotel 38. Both my partner and I were impressed with the hotel facilities and the service. So let’s start with the review. Location: The location of the hotel is great as it is 5 minutes from the underground and 10 minutes from the train station. Also all the main tourist attractions are...

Terrific breakfast..., choices and selection of cold cuts. Happily stay again:) don't know why other people who reviewed poorly don't go to five star hotels and pay for that? This is great value...

Friendly staff and good place to short-time stay.Trams, S-Bahn and U-Bahn close and easy to get around. . Rooms clean and nice, the breakfast choice enough. WiFi was poor. Take TXL bus to Invalidenstr. and then tram M5 from airport to hotel. Tram M5 to Alexander Square (4 stops). Tram stop is in front of the door, its very comfortable.

We stayed at Hotel 38 for 3 nights over a long weekend. We found the staff friendly and very helpful. When booking I had made a couple of requests about the room and these were all adhered too! A modern and bright Hotel, no frills but quiet and comfortable and situated very close the main centre. Easily accessible from Trains,...

I recently stayed at Hotel 38 for 4 nights. I chose this hotel not only because of its many positive reviews but after reviewing its location on a map of Berlin and its proximity to many transportation lines including S+U stations, tram lines, and bus lines, I decided that this hotel would be teriffic for a first time visitor. The...

I stayed in this hotel towards the end of November for 5 night as it was reserved by the conference organiser. The breakfast was fine but limited. The reception staff didn't speak English therefore simple requests are met with bafflement. They made terrible mistakes with booking and couldn't help in terms of resolving it. The location is good but I...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
