First class, would highly recommend the Alexandra Plaza Hotel for business or private travel. Right in the heart of Berlin with access to public transport and a good night life. Will book again on my next trip!

The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, close to shops, bars, restaurants, train station, Alexanderplatz, museums etc... and its breakfast is fantastic. It´s very easy to reach the hotel from Berlin Hbf or airport, getting off at Alexanderplatz.

Great hotel with clean spacious rooms. Very quiet so you're assured of a good nights sleep. Good breakfast selection. Very handy to the sights of Alexander Platz and city centre transport to all the sights and attractions. Great spot I would happily recommend for business or leisure.

Stayed 3 nights in December. Hotel is in a good spot very close to a train station giving easy and cheap access to the airport (€3.30 single ticket as opposed to €40 in a taxi). We were in a large room on the 2nd floor. The 'double' bed was in fact 2 singles pushed together with separate quilts. Very comfortable....

We stayed her from Monday-Friday and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are nice and big (room 601 executive room.) the staff speak very good English and can always answer your questions. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast - especially the selection of cheeses! The only down side would be the bed sheets, we had to...

After traveling Europe for a few days the Hotel Alexander Plaza was the perfect hotel for us. Located right by Alexander Plaza it was close to lots of public transportation, the TXL bus from/to the airport and a lot of historical sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 3 nights and had a nice room on 6th floor. First night the room was freezing and after trying to work out why realised window had been open - this was not obvious and room staff should have checked windows were closed. Room was good with everything we needed and beds very comfy. Breakfast was not as good...

The location is great. Stayed here one night and they did not make up the room - at all! We were out all day until 2PM but despite cleaning staff being on the floor, no one made up our room. Returned jet lagged at 2PM for a nap, put a sing on the dore and woke up to leave for...

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alexander Plaza. The staff were some of the friendliest I've experienced across Europe - the man who took care of us gave us so many tips and places to eat and was an all round charismatic guy. The location is so central in town. Its about 8 min walk from the main train...

The Alexander Plaza is a lovely hotel in the centre of Berlin. The hotel was very pleasant to stay in, with good sized rooms and all the facilities you would need. They supplied a kettle on request so we could make tea in our room, and cups and saucers! The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was plentiful. The...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
