I stayed in Radisson Blu Berlin attending a conference. The hotel is absolutely amazing. Location is great, just a few steps from the major leisure attractions. I was staying in the room with the aquarium view. This giant aquarium is located directly in the lobby and is really breathtaking. Breakfast was fantastic with the huge selection of food. Service is...

We booked a family New Year holiday and stayed 3 x nights at the Radisson Blu , paying extra for the New Year party night. After a long drive and a difficult navigation around the centre of Berlin , we were greeted by the most unfriendly receptionist , who provided no Hotel information about our stay , or about the...

Having had a terrible nights stay at the Sofitel Heathrow T5 before departure, we arrived at this hotel fairly frustrated and tired to be frank. As soon as we arrived, the reception staff were unbelievably polite and professional. We arrived way ahead of check in time with a view of dropping our bags off and then going for a walk....

This hotel is definitely one of the better in Berlin. The location is OK close to "Unter den Linen" and the Brandeburger Tor. The lobby with bar is quite impressive. It contains a huge aquarium. To clean it they have to use scuba divers... The staff was very friendly and helpfull (e.g. they called somebody to have my boarding pass...

We spend 2 nights here for sightseeing and it all was excellent. the rooms are large and modern, breakfast is really delicious and the central hall with the very large aquarium is really spectacular. in terms of sight seeing, the location is excellent, you walk out the hotel and it is less than 100 meters to the museum island.

We stayed her in the lead up to Christmas - it was a great location with most attractions in walking distance - including three Christmas markets within a five minute walk. The rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities needed and it was a fun experience waking up to see the fish tank out the window!

An amazing experience with the fish tank out the window/balcony. We've not seen anything like it before and were blown away. We would not stay anywhere else should we go back. Wifi was fantastic and staff delicious. Such an amazing place xx

Wonderful rooms, wonderful views. No complaints at all. Visited pre Xmas combined with visiting the nearby christmas markets (the best in my opinion). Flights changed (due to weather) and hotel obliged by changing dates for 2 rooms at no cost to us. Would recommend to anyone and hope to visit again when it isn't snowing! This is one of the best hotels I ve ever stayed. Not tremendously luxurious, but I do not need that. Great location, very close to Museums Island and Alexanderplatz. Breakfast is excellent. Free wifi in rooms (very important to me), and the 7 stories high acuarium in the lobby deserves more than a photo. Would highly recomend it. Staff very...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
