hotel is within a short walking distance from the Alexanderplatz train station. Probably 8 mins. We arrived at around 12 but unfortunately our room wasn't yet ready which was understandable as check in wasn't until 3. The girl (sorry didn't get her name) who checked us in was very professional and efficient and offered for us to leave our bags...

Spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast, bed really really comfortable, room immaculate. very impressed with the aquarium but happy I got a room with a view of the cathedral which is stunning. The reason I didn't give a rating of 5 was because of the reception staff as they made me feel they were doing me a 'favour', which is a shame...

Clean, spacious, well equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner and cream. Kettle, drinks and fridge. Asked for a quiet room - and it was. Except on night one when reception called at 1am as they'd had a complaint someone was crying/screaming/arguning in my room. But i wasn't, I was travelling solo!!! Wish thereception had checked their details before calling and giving...

Great hotel, all the rooms have a view of the tank. Your very central staying here with the Christmas markets and a lot of the tourist sites within walking distance. I noticed when we were checking in they were telling people all different price of the breakfast ... it wasn't a consistent price so do be careful what you pay!...

Stayed 4 days in junior suite with corner view. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Note side window faces the Cathedral, which has a viewing platform, so be warned people can look in... bathroom great size though shower bit of a let down and cheap. Seating area a little cramped but good for relaxing. Bar area good for post tour...

I stayed two nights in the Radisson Blu. I defenetly don't would like to have a room facing the aquarium because I prefer to have a view on the city and not on a patio. But ask for a room facing the cathedral or the TV tower and not on the beside galery. Of course, the aquarium is amazing and...

This was an excellent experience: I stayed in Berlin on a business trip, and I found the hotel very convenient. It is easy to reach from Tegel airport by public transportation. The hotel is comfortable with all of the usual amenities; the rooms either face outside (a busy road or a quiet backyard with no view) or the central lobby...

The hotel is located next to Berlin Cathedral in Mitte . A very elegant area just few minutes walk from Brandenburg gate and many other places of interest . Entering the lobby of the hotel is the surprise....a huge fish tank in the middle of it . And if you get a room facing the inside of the hotel this...

The hotel is stylish and a great base for Berlin. This is a business class hotel. Clean simple and stylish. The highlight is the aquarium in the lobby; but equally the views from the business class rooms onto the Dome. The restaurant is good for a meal and serves an excellent stocked and fresh breakfast. The hotel has a gym,...

Quality service, the staff were always helpful and assisted us with specific requests. The rooms were adequately sized and had quality finishings. Quality meals in the restaurant and a fantastic central location- lots of shops and cafes within easy walking distance. The gym is small but the equipment is new and good quality.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
