The receptionist was so welcoming (like everyone in Berlin). The room was warm even in late December. I booked a last-minute single room at a great price and was lucky to find that I'd been given a double bed anyway. Shower was small but great pressure, clean white towels provided. The hotel is close to an underground station so commuting...

In an older rustic building with high ceilings and big rooms. My graffitti room was huge with painted walls and cool chairs. A bit of traffic noise, but no to bad. Breakfast and service is very good in this small and well located hotel

The hotel is ok, the staff is certainly very friendly and the breakfast is great. I had a room on the second floor right next to the elevator. The elevator pretty much was part of my room (room build around it). The elevator however is really loud and people use it all day & night. The doors slam and the...

I stayed at Hotel Tiergarten for 1 night with a friend. The room was clean and spacious with high ceilings and lots of character. It is both walking distance from the bus stop so getting to and from the hotel was a breeze. Staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. We didn't have the buffet breakfast but there are...

From the professionalism and friendliness of the staff to the simply sumptuous breakfasts this hotel is highly recommended. The district the hotel is in is well served by the nearbt S bahn and buses run to the city centre every 5 minutes. I found the WI- Fi more than adequate, the room I stayed in was exceptionally large for a...

Huge rooms, electric outlets everywhere, strong shower, in addition to all the things you'd like in a hotel room like clean sheets, plush towels, and a working elevator once you're above three levels from ground make this place very good and the only thing lacking was a sketchy intermittent wifi that seemed to be dogged down during peak times such...

I stayed in Hotel Tiergarten for 4 nights with two of my friends. Right away the staff was very friendly. We had a reservation for 3 people, but our room was very spacious, we had an extra bed in our room and even 2 extra beds in the closet! The furniture was a litte outdated, but the rest of the...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
