A group of four guys from the US stayed in two rooms in the Berlin Mark for the week of November 21-27, 2008. I loved the hotel's location just off the K'dam and near the U and S Bahn. The rooms were comfortable, with nice linens and oversized pillows and the flat screen tv was a great touch. The bathroom... More

This hotel is located just off the kurfurstendam str, which is the main shopping street in Berlin. The area is full of shops, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is close to several subways on different routes. You could basically walk to any major tourist attraction. The hotel is about a five minute walk to the Berlin Zoo, and maybe a... More

My parents and I stayed at the Berlin Mark in Fall '06. We had a wonderful stay. Here are the highlights of the stay: -- Very friendly check-in and staff. -- Nice, casual bar area. -- Wonderful, expansive, complete breakfast (mouth-watering remembering it). -- Flat Screen TVs. -- Great downtown Berlin location. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. No complaints... More

A convention at Berlin Messe saw me needing hotel accomodation for 2 nights in Berlin. As a couple of colleagues had chosen this hotel, I booked myself using a special rate on Expedia. The hotel was a little challenging to locate. I had never been to Berlin before and after getting off the S-Bahn at Zoologisher Garten I managed to... More

We travelled to Berlin after a 9-day stay in Sitges. The difference was startling to say the least - but the hotel room was lovely and comfortable and eased the pain of leaving the sunshine! The beds were extremely comfortable, although I'm not sure I really like the idea of a giant marshmallow (quilt) with no top sheet, as I... More

We stayed as a group of 8 over the August Bank Holiday weekend 2008, the rooms, although not large were clean, comfortable, had plenty of storage space, flat screen TV and electronic safe. The staff were friendly, spoke very good English and were happy to help with directions and recommendations on where to visit. The Hotel has a great location,... More

The hotel is located in charlottenburg, quite close to public transportations and Berlin zoo. There are pubs, clubs and restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffe is really nice and theres plenty to choose from. Also in the weekends the b´fast starts from 6.00 - 12.00 wich is good. The room was big and clean, the bathroom was a bit... We stayed at the Berlin Mark Hotel in July and the hotel is a good deal for the money. The rooms are average size for a European Hotel but the single beds were extremely small. The mattresses and comforter were comfortable but the one pillow provided for each bed was paper thin. The room did have air conditioning which kept... More

Location of hotel great for transport and also quiet at night. The breakfast, although busy from 8am onwards, was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A Lidyl supermarket was just down the street and good for rolls for lunch time and buying bottled water. Would recommend an Italian Restaurant called Stella Di Mare at 162, Uhlandstrabe, which was... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
