the hotel was far better than I expected as we paid less then what we would pay to a similar service. Location is good with easy access to restaurants and many things are walking distance. Staff is friendly. rooms are comfortable. there is also free internet.

We booked our 5 night stay through Hotwire. When we arrived the hotel was surrounded by construction (obviously not hotel's fault and don't let it put you off). When we got to our room it was a family room with bunk beds and a massive bed- a bit strange for two friends travelling but the room was big and clean....

Me and my friend stayed in this hotel from 16/9 to 23/09. The hotel is near naturkundermuseum's U6 metro stop. It is new, very clean. The bed was large so also the bathroom. The thing better however was the crew, especially we want to thank Alexandra and Iman. They helped us to find informations about the city and they adviced...

We have just returned to Scotland from a stay at the Hotel Tryp,we found it to be a first class hotel,we were on the top floor and the room was perfect for us and very quiet,it also had free wi fi. The staff were very helpful, one young lady receptionist organised our homeward boarding passes for 5 of us. We...

Stayed for 3 nights here and couldn't fault the hotel. Really nice rooms and comfortable beds. We had a room facing the inner courtyard which was very quiet. Very close to the U bahn which takes you anywhere you need to go. Would recommend getting the Berlin Welcome card as it's great to only have to validate it once then...

We got a very good deal for a premium room 242. It included free wifi in room, and free replenished mini bar and also a complimentary 10€ a day to spend in the bar by booking it online direct through Melia the group brand. Staff were all pleasant and helpful and thankfully spoke perfect English. The hotel is situated beside...

This hotel is in the middle of East Berlin and the neighborhood isn't as nice as other West Berlin neighborhoods, but there's so much construction that the neighborhood is probably on the rise. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to the main train station, and there's a subway station really close by. The staff is very friendly, speaks English quite...

The Tryp is a relatively new hotel so the decor is fresh and clean. The rooms are pleasant and a reasonable size and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was around €18 per person, so isn't the cheapest option, however it is a well presented hot and cold buffet selection so most people should be able to satisfy the appetite before...

We stayed one week and were impressed by the excellent staff, and the nice, if somewhat bare, room. All staff - regardless of the time of the day or night - stayed professional and friendlyq. Really one of the better experiences in many years. We skipped in breakfast - there are some places right around the corner. Beds are good...

I've stayed in this hotel in September 2014. Hotel made very good impression. Very reasonable price/service proportion. Receptionists were extremely useful: every time I had a question, they could provide exact and precise answer and solve every quest. Breakfast was good, but you have to check if you have it included in your room rate (somehow I've missed it option).

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
