Ideal spot for getting on and off the tour buses for sight seeing. Not a lot of night life in this area in January. Nice hotel would have expected coffee and tea making facilities in the standard room. Staff in reception and bar very good restaurant not so good. Rooms clean and decent size. Would recommend

We went for a long weekend and we loved every minute. The perfect location to travel around the city, yet so quiet in the hotel room. The staff were attentive, the breakfast was great. I'd thoroughly recommend, especially at Christmas time (markets are fab!)

3 couples stayed here for 3 nights. Location is decent, 10 min walk from nearest train station. Rooms were fine, however for some reason we were given a twin room and not a double and just told to push the beds together?? The pillows are terrible and I'm not one of these reviewers that complains about wee things but only...

On a recent trip to see a competition at the Sports Forum, we stayed at this hotel and found it was a great location. The Sports Forum is an easy 15 min tram ride (#5 or #6) from the hotel. But the hotel is also on the edge of the tourist area at Alexanderplatz. Museum Island, Brandengate, and Holocaust Memorial...

The rooms are small but beautifully laid out! Very modern. Comfortable memory foam bed! The only criticism I could pass would be that the bath towels are very small... The hotel is in a great location. Away from the bustle of Alexanderplatz but close enough to enjoy it! Bathrooms have a hairdryer in, which is useful! Great hotel. Would definitely...

We were meeting friends and chose this Ramada for its location. Close to a major shopping area and transportation. The hotel was ultra modern and very clean. The breakfast was superior with a buffet to beat all buffets. Right next door is a self service little restaurant with reasonable prices for a quick snack. I wish our USA Ramada's offered...

Just back from a city breaks in Berlin. We choose this hotel based on good reviews and we were not disappointed. The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping and sightseeing with easy access to the public transport system. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very well maintained, while the rooms were a little on the small side they...

I've traveled throughout Europe and finding a true 4-star hotel isn't always easy. This property meets 4-star standards. Centrally located, clean, modern, and comfortably sized rooms. Bathroom floors are heated, shower options are handle held or rain shower, bathroom door easily adjusts so toilet and sink can be used simultaneously as 2 separate rooms. Full breakfast offered for a fee...

Five minute walk to Alexanderplatz and the TV tower. Good standard double room, clean with sufficient space. TV with some UK channels. No tea/coffee facilities or fridge. Pillows (two provided) useless. Requested two more (not much better!). Reception staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast not included in our price costs 16 Euros per person, but only 8 Euros at their sister...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
