We were group about 10 people living in Industriepalast on 8.3 until 12.3. Firstly, we were surprised that even for fresh bedsheets at the beginning you have to pay about 3 euro (they are basically not included in the price you pay per night). Second day we arrived in the evening and wanted to get in. The card from our...

Facilities were decent, but overpriced considering what they were. Terrible atmosphere, and difficult to meet people. Could be good for groups but terrible for solo travellers. Majority of the staff were unhelpful and unapproachable as well.

The communication upon our arrival was very well organised, as well as when we arrived! The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and value for money. The staff is extremely friendly and humorous, was able to assist us in finding any touristic destinations and vegan restaurants. The communal areas within the hostel make it a great place to go with a...

Super clean, super staff. Great location.Nice kitchen.Good speed wifi.....Amazing cleaning crew...My hats off to you. For a quieter experience, choose a 6 bed dorm over an 8 or you end up with the drunk partying people who really don't have any respect...

After few booking troubles in another hostel on the nights of 29th and 30th December, we saw this hostel named Industrie palast, and even if we came to book last minute in very busy nights, the receptionist were sooo nice to us and so welcoming, the prices were very reasonable. They allowed us to leave our luggage for free at...

The staff was really cool. The location is really great and their is an awesome street art tour that runs from the hostel. I would definitely come back and stay here again on my next visit to Berlin. Located right across the street from the metro station. Our guide Jamin was really knowledgeable and tipped us on the best places...

Could be better, and is probably let down by better options locally. Seems short staffed, you pay extra for bed linen which is a bit unreasonable, plus extra for fast wifi, come on this is 2016! On the plus side it's a pretty chilled out place, rooms are spacious and clean. Location is good.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
