The place is clean, but the room is as basic as can be. No carpet. The floor looks like it's been painted with industrial floor paint. Bathroom is scruffy, missing grout etc. It's ok, but you wouldn't want to bring your significant other here.

Dear Hotel Grenzfall, Everything was so good and comfotable, I felt myself very well in the Hotel. Only one thing what could be giving more comfortable the rooms. the white transparency curtain front of the windows. Very good idea the different colors of the floors. I wish lot of guest for you :-) Best regards, Szilárd Bottyán Hungary

We stayed there with my colleagues in 2015 during our first visit in Berlin. The hotel itself has a great location - it's not far from the central part of Berlin (Brandenburger Tor is in 15-20 minutes of walking). The building itself might remind somebody from Russia an atmosphere of his/her home town - it's an interesting but weird feeling...

Room for wheelchair with a very large bathroom. Bed comfortable. Nice garden with a lot of little places where you can drink or eat. Staff very friendly. Near from accessible transports (tram, S.Bahn and U.Bahn) Restaurant a little expensive but good.

We have visited many hotels in Berlin in recent years and we really like it here. It's very clean and modern with huge fabulous black and white photos of the Berlin Wall in the past on the corridor walls and in the room. The breakfasts were very good but the big plus point is how friendly and welcoming the staff...

We stayed here for a few days at the end of June and would rate it as just "ok." Compared to other European hotels in the same price range, it is somewhat newer and has modern furniture. But desperately needs air con. Our room was extremely warm as it was around 90F while we were there and just one small...

This hotel is very unique in many respects - the most important one is, that this hotel is basically an NGO, so it's run by the neighboring church as a non-for-profit venture. 85% of the staff is from the "differently abled" sphere - so people, who are e.g. physically challenged and have otherwise difficulties to find a regular job. As...

Our walking group of eight English pensioners stopped here for a rest as we were weary from sightseeing on a hot day and needed refreshment. The hotel has a pavement bistro rather too close to traffic on Ackerstrasse and litter bins. It offers three outside tables best described as English pub garden style with bench seats attached either side of...

Dear JohnHowardNorfolk, Thank you very much for taking your time to write a review of your visit in our Bistro. Please be aware that the place you have visited is not our hotel. The actual Hotel Grenzfall is located very quietly a few meters behind the Bistro in a side street of Bernauer Strasse. Next to our hotel there is...
