Stayed here for a few nights this week in on or the Band rooms, with a couple of friends. We'd heard good things, and done a bit of research, so we more or less knew what we were getting. The hotel itself is ridiculously cool, design-wise I couldn't fault it, you could spend a lot of time in that bar....

Great location and the reception area boasts a great funky vibe (similar to London's/NYC ACE Hotel), however, that's where it all ends. There are far better places in Berlin for less money and a better atmosphere, as the Michelberger is not cheap. Staff seem to be 'so cool' that they are too cool to care, none of them with any...

The lounge is nice and cool. The rooms are big and also cool. The showed The Big Lebowski in the corridors which was a nice touch. Beds were unfortunately very uncomfortable (we were in a room with four beds) and also very tiny. The pillow was very flat and almost non-existent. My neck was stiff the whole time we stayed...

Good location, very friendly staff and a special vibe! We booked a Loft-room with all the space we needed. Nice lounge area with a lot of people spending time before going in or out of the Hotel or just relaxing.

This is a real quirky hotel in a great location, it's near the east side gallery, located near the metro and down the road from Water Gate! When I stayed in December 2014 they were doing an "alternative tours" of Berlin for free - really recommend doing this if they still offer it!

Spent a weekend here in early Dec 2016 with the kids (7 and nearly 10). Despite (because?) it all being achingly cool and hipster, the kids loved it and we had a great time. Very cool, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, intriguing and delicious cocktails and mocktails, good lunch and breakfast (although a bit odd when they said they couldn't toast...

This reminds me of a little brother to the Soho House chain. It has a very cool and trendy vibe. Lots of tourists. Some of the staff were a bit too casual for me, but nevertheless they all all helpful and speak English. We stayed in the Loft Room, which has a ladder leading up to the bed. We went...

We went to the hotel bar for some snacks and a cocktail around 9pm - quirky decor and friendly staff, with a mixture of people there, both staying in the hotel and visitors as we were. We had delicious cocktails. Would definitely recommend. The whole place oozed cool.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights during the week and we both had an amazing time. Our friends recommended this place to us and it really didn't disappoint. We stayed in the Cosy room and it looked great, very minimalistic, great sized bed with lovely touches. The bathroom was small but the room does what it says...

We stayed in lofts room. They are very small, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and very close to the ceiling. It's too bad because the hotel lounge is very cute. The atmosphere is also very cool. They only need to place thicker and more comfortable beds.

Dear guest, thanks for your feedback. Great that you enjoyed almost everything. The mattress and bedding is something that we treat with the highest priority. We recently invested in new bedding that is created out of Eucalyptus Wood transformed into a product called Lyocell or Tencel from sustainable farming. The bedding is ecological, free of chemicals and energetically supercharged. The...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
