We booked a triple room for four nights. Upon arrival we were given a very small room with no door on the bathroom i.e. no privacy which is OK for a couple but not for three people. Shower has a glass door!! Our room was crowded with three suite cases and three back packs. Next morning we inquired about the...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a weekend. It is located in Charlottenburg just around the corner to the U-Bahn-station “Bismarckstraße” of the line U2. So, arriving with public transport is no problem. The staff was friendly. Our room was on the top floor (6th floor) with a comfortable double bed. The bathroom and the room itself...

I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine who visited this hotel in August. First impressions were good, check in was quick and the hotel is in a good location. Bathroom wasn't very clean and room smelt of stale smoke. The main issue was that my friend has been charged twice for her stay and now is the...

Great hotel, not quite in the center of the city but has good connections with it. Rooms clean, bed comfortable. As I was there for New Year's Eve, the hotel was crowded but you couldn't tell that untill you came for breakfast. Breakfast was great, good selection. Modern, design hotel.

Stayed here over night before flying through to Gatwick next day, room was huge with queen size bed, and a single for my son, it also had a couch and a small coffee table, bathroom was spotless with a large bundle of towels. Food was a little on the expensive side around 14 euros for a Napoli spaghetti dish and...

Hotel Leonardo is right outside Bismarckstraße U-Bahn station, which has two lines to take you - in about 15 minutes - to the main centre of Berlin, now located just to the East of the Brandenburg Gate. We paid about £40 per night for a twin, which was a brilliant price for the location and quality of the accommodation. Our...

Our reservation did not offer breakfast and when we made our reservation we asked for a double bed and it was confirmed by the hotel via email. But when we arrived the room was nothing similar to the pictures, very small, dirty and with only one single bed and a sofa bed. When we asked to change they told us...

We stayed at Leonardo Hotel Berlin in vacation in July 2013. I would not recommend it. It is quite a long way from the subway, a 15 min walk along a dreary street of old East Berlin, packed with horrible soviet-style huge buildings. The staff are not so kind, except for the woman at the tourist info desk, she was...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
