Stayed in this lovely central hotel in Berlin in May. The rooms are Lovely, very modern and individually decorated. It's in a super location and the staff are very nice. I would strongly recomend this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights booking it after the reviews on Trip Advisor and were certainly pleased we did. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but have never received such friendly and accommodating staff as that at The Circus Hotel. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble they all went out of their way to make us...

Very nice tourist class hotel with inner city location within 15-20 minutes walking distance from museums, Alexanderplatz. Good connection by tram and bus to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). U8 (underground metro) goes in two stops to Alexanderplatz. Restaurants and small food stores practically never close in the square facing the hotel (Rosenthaler Platz). Many downtown hotels are business hotels...

We stayed over the New Year for four nights and were already delighted with the hotel before we were woken up due to an evacuation at 7am on New Years day! A small fire on the roof of one of their apartments was soon dealt with and no one was injured but for the purposes of this review the most...

This was a perfect location. Situated directly next to a U-bahn station and tram line and loads of great restaurant choices. The hotel staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and the reception / bar area was great for relaxing after a day exploring Berlin.

We stayed at the Circus Hotel for a long weekend in November, it was our first trip to Berlin so I was a little dubious about the hotel location and how easy it would be to get around. There was no need to worry at all! Easy hotel to get to, friendly staff, comfy bed and a really excellent breakfast...

Our stay at the Circus was absolutely brilliant! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the staff at Commonground (the new cafe/coffee house/bar in the reception area) were lovely too. Our greeting was warm and welcoming, and we got to check in early too. We booked a junior suite, which was nicely decorated, large and clean and had everything...

The Circus Hotel is an a fantastic location for U-Bahn and Tram. Walking distance from great restaurants as well is very handy. The staff were brilliant always willing to offer advice and a funky concierge service. The rooms were well decorated, clean and tidy if a little small. A shame that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment whilst we were...

The location is good and a lot of nice little cafes and restaurants within walkin distance. The rooms are comfortable and relatively quiet. We had our windows tonthe backyard, so only noice was either rarely from the corridor or people smoking in the yard. The beds were good. The bathroom could have been more spacious and a more effective ventilation...

Booked the hotel as I had read the reviews on here and they were positive. Upon arrival greeted by a cheerful and helpful young lady. We asked lots of questions and she helped her with all of them even calling a restaurant to make a booking for us. She gave us the hotel information, room number and location and apologised...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
