But as much as we like to see what is happening in the city, the more we appreciate a cozy nest, into which we can retreat after an hour long day. In our 186 rooms you will find just such a place where you can recharge your batteries for new deeds. And through the floor-to-ceiling window fronts you always have the view of the city. This quiet, modern and well-equipped hotel is located in the middle of the FU campus in Dahlem, easy to reach by public transport and a short walk away. The rooms are modernly furnished with enough space for luggage and your own space to move around. The bathroom is very spacious with a walk-in, step-free shower. The special thing is a breakfast buffet in the morning that really leaves nothing to be desired. A hit for honey lovers is not only a selection of good honey varieties in jars, but also a "honey board" with honey-filled honeycombs that you can help yourself to. The hotel has its own beehives and produces its own honey for guests. In summer there is a large, idyllic outdoor area and a cozy lounge/bar for a nightcap in the evening. We'll be back.

This is modern hotel located in the middle of campus - we have been there in August and there was plenty of green vegetation around the place. Nice indeed. The location is excellent if you want to visit Berlin with its attraction but the same time to avoid the noise and bustle of the big city: the metro station is literally 5 minutes of walk (about 30 minutes to the city centre then) and you can also enjoy some very nice and very local beer gardens.

The Seminaris offers attractive rooms, the beds were pleasant from the mattress, a second pillow was provided immediately on request. Hotel and rooms are very clean, the staff is very friendly. We only stayed one night for business at Seminaris but we were very satisfied!

Clean and reasonably comfortable hotel at the Free University, Berlin. Because it is so far from the center, I don't think there is any reason to stay here unless you have business at the university or in the neighborhood. As others have accurately said, the furnishing is more or less like a university dormitory, but that's not a terrible thing. The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably large.
The one major negative was the shower — which is your proverbial hotel shower from hell. The temperature can go from cold to scalding hot in a second, so there's no way to comfortably shower. You have to be constantly changing the temperature control. And the water pressure is quite bad too.
The one surprising positive was the breakfast buffet, which has more choices than almost any other European hotel I have stayed in, spread out over two rooms — and the quality is good. A surprising omission is the total absence of a toaster, which is a flaw they really should fix.

If you want to stay there because you have an appointment in the area or are attending an event there, then the hotel is good. The food is of rather mediocre quality and I have to make an effort to rate the service as "satisfactory". Nobody seems to have any training in the hotel/catering industry, there is no other explanation. At check-in, the handover takes place first, so guests have to wait that long. I would have let that pass, but the service in the restaurant area is practically no service. For example, when asked which wine you can get, the answer is (original quote) red or white. Even when asked, it is not possible to find out. We wanted to eat outside as a group (you can sit nicely there), but the service was unable to bring cutlery or glasses outside... even though there were enough staff available.

Worst Service i have ever experienced. Hotel was pre paid through 3rd party booking service, upon arrival in the Self check in counter I had to pay for the full reservation again. Since it was late and we needed our room I chose to pay and deal with it later. When confronting the front desk I was met by 2 arrogant guys who couldn't care less to help with the problem and told me that they only had an invoice from the 3rd party booking. I showed them my mastercard transaction and said that they could check the Lobby camera to see that exact time on the check in day I would be in the lobby entering my card details on the Check in Ipad but no help was provided. Afterwards I contacted the Hotel through website with no response so I have just been left with paying twice for a hotel room. I am for sure never using Seminaris ever again.

Not a good location, in the middle of the heart of Potsdam, where only cyclists are taken seriously in the sign of the holy green change. There is NO air con in the rooms which means terribly hot rooms and nights bathed in sweat in the summer. The hotel a absolutely NO handicaps-friendly.

Pros: (1) hotel is clean and conveniently located next to the university; (2) breakfast is very nice with long hours; (3) room is spacious and bed comfortable.
Cons: (1) Room smelled like sewer when I initially entered and while venting helped, the smell comes back; (2) showers are really hard to take as water temperature fluctuates from super cold to super hot without touching anything
In conclusion: the rooms is fine and the staff is friendly. But, please, hire a plumbing company!

We had booked late check-out for an extra €40. From 12pm onwards, the hotel tried to scare us away by sending a cleaning lady and calling reception. We were threatened that we would have to pay for the next night if we stayed longer than 4pm. From 4pm onwards, the key cards were blocked. It's unbelievable that something like this could happen to a hotel chain in this price range!

Overall this place is really clean with a calming atmosphere. The hotel gives a lot of opportunity's to stay as much as possible climate neutral. But the fitnessroom and sauna is not good maintained and visiting with a dog makes it impossible to eat in the breakfast room. (Sadly) You need to evate to the room next to the breakfast room. The breakfast itself is good and has a large range of food. The connection is also pretty good but the restaurants near the hotel are not the best, so you need to eat in town.
