We were given the apartment which is along the wall, about a 3-4 minute walk. Just renovated, has a small kitchen area where if you stayed longer you could get your own food and be comfortable without eating out all the time. There's an area upstairs where the hotel employee that took us to the apartment said they could accommodate... More

One of the first places we came to after parking the car. Ok for a quick stop. Bakery looks good (not tried) with basic food menu. Food quality was basic but acceptable based price paid. Service was efficient, toilets also good.

Stayed here for one night while we were visiting Rothenburg. The room was adequate for the night, however there are a number of things that could be done to make it so much better. 1) Have some additional pillows in the cupboard as one of the typical European pillows just does not cut it. 2) Please put kettles and basic... Great location - literary next to the tower. We got a 3 bed room at the upper floor which was hot and no air condition hence we had to open the windows during the night - Cars passing on the cobbles woke me up several times as our room faced the street but the rest of my family slept peacefully... My family of five stayed here for the weekend. We had private parking, plenty of space, and excellent access to the city. The café was full of great selections. Breakfast was great if you like pastries or German deli meats. Our room was not connected to the hotel. It was a large private apartment with very close access to the... More

This was our second visit to the city and our second stay at Hotel Uhl. The hotel is located in a great location with access to the city center and city 'wall'. It was a pleasurable experience and would do it for a third time.

The hotel is in a great location 20 metres from the Plonlein, the most famous image of Rothenburg. Our room was a pleasant surprise, was huge. Must have been a deluxe. Front office reception staff/manager - I don't know what- was adequate but not anything special. Breakfast was adequate. I give it a four stars largely for location, but returned... More

We walked from the station to this hotel in under 10 minutes - all along the ancient wall of this ancient city with it's rich history. The rooms were quite small, but adequate and clean. The bathrooms were bigger than the ones you find in this price range and had lovely soaps. The rooms are quiet and you have the... More

I really don't make a habit of leaving poor reviews. I just don't recommend the place or return. However, for people who are looking to have a charming stay in an incredibly quaint town, then this ISN'T the place for you. I'll begin with the hotel. The rooms are so worn and in need of updating, but that isn't the... More

Just returned from an impromptu last minute visit to the very beautiful Rothenburg. This hotel is in the perfect location - within the town walls and 5 minutes walk from the market square. Also when we booked we didn't realise that the hotel formed part of the most photographed part of the town. The hotel itself is very comfortable. We... More
