We stayed at the Gotisches Haus for two nights and I itemsmust say that this hotel delivered on all fronts: Location is perfect - centrally located but in a quiet location. You simply can't beat the style/feel where everything is old (but clean and functioning); and the hosts were a delight, friendly, and helpful. The room was quiet, spacious, and looked just like in the pictures. Hard to beat in character, stayed in many places, this one is unique. Bathroom was clean, unexpectedly large, and had a huge tub to boot. Breakfast had a good selection of items, all fresh and tasty. If/when I return to Rothenburg, no question I'll be back at this place.

In the historic center of the small town, excellent Pension in a 15th century house but with all modern comforts (except air conditioning). Very nice staff, very good Breakfast. You can reach the Pension by car for a luggage drop, then take a parking outside the ramparts (about 800m and 6€ for 24h).

At the Gotisches Haus hotel, in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany, you feel transported to the medieval era, while at the same time enjoying accommodation with all the comforts of our time. The hotel areas are richly decorated, the masonry is made of natural stone and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and very tasteful. The service is familiar and welcoming. And the location is excellent, close to everything! The breakfast is top notch, and even includes sparkling wine. A charm! Without a doubt, one of the best stays of our travels! I strongly recommend!

Located in the heart of the city, convenient to move around, but without parking. Characteristic, renovated in local style, spacious bathrooms, a little less the rooms in the upper floors due to the shape of the roof. Clean, very welcoming staff. Too bad that there is no bar area, if you want a drink, you are served in the small armchairs next to the “reception / lobby” which is practically non-existent as, the space of the entrance area and in front of the reception desk, is used as a “restaurant room”. There is no real common area outside the entrance/reception/restaurant area which as I wrote above, is a single room that acts as everything and that in my opinion could be an excellent lobby!

A beautiful family run historic hotel. The owners pay attention to detail. We had the room in the “attic”, but it was roomy, charming and had a private little balcony across the hall where my wife and I were able to enjoy a bottle of the local wine. A memorable stay!

This family owned and managed hotel was romantic, nostalgic, and attentive to each of our needs.
We were fortunate to stay in room 31 which provided views of the village street, historic furnishings, and modern amenities. All of the facilities were clean and the staff took all necessary precautions during Covid.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent.
We were able to park our car for offloading our luggage and the owner directed us to nearby public parking.
We’ll be staying here when we return to Rothenburg!

This hotel was quite charming, holds a tremendous amount of history and is centrally located to the Marienplatz. Staff was friendly, rooms VERY clean/tidy, and the morning breakfast for 15€ was perfect for us. Thanks for a nice stay, albeit brief.

One of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. On our 'once in a lifetime' trip to Germany, we stayed overnight in Rothenburg. In retrospect I should have booked 3 nights. The town is marvellous, the food amazing, and the sights plentiful. the hotel is in a convenient area in the old town, easy to get to though a taxi ride from the train station. The Hotel itself is a very historic building, 13th C, and looks and feels like it. It's been beautifully adapted, clean and careful, so that it has all the amenities one would one, but with the old walls, boards, ceilings, etc. So clever I felt like I was back in time. The view fromour suite was gorgeous, and I loved how they had 'window' openings in the floor, with little collections of historic items in them that you could walk over. The room was beautifully decorated - though it needed very little. The furniture is all old style but super comfortable and clean. The bed was beautiful, the pillows lovely. The service and help during our stay was excellent. Everything we needed was provided with a smile. The family who own and run this hotel should be very pleased and proud of their commitment and dedication to the excellent accommodation, the brilliant atmosphere, and the superb breakfast. We just loved the breakfast room, with it's fantastic gothic column, the lovely lighting and great settings. The spread was amazing, and if I ever get the chance to visit Rothenburg again (please, God, Yes!!!) I will definitely stay in this marvellous hotel. It wasn't expensive, andwas worth every penny. Thankyou for your hospitality, it was our favourite hotel in all of Germany.

We didn’t want to check out of this 700 year old hotel where emperors once stayed. Fully restored with modern amenities in an excellent location. Spectacular. Axel at the front desk was so accommodating especially with my husband who was sick with a bug. He shared his special home remedy. Cute and delicious restaurant on the first floor. Exposed brick walls give you a taste of the past. We are definitely going back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. A beautiful, family run hotel. Axel, the owner, and his wife and son were very welcoming. This is a truly historic, boutique hotel, and the location is just steps away from the city center. We’ll be back for sure!
