Professionally run hotel, classic historic architecture, comfortable, air conditioned (rare in a Rothenburg hotel and it was 90 F when we were there!) rooms. Great staff (thank you Denis), comfortable rooms, (did I already mention the air conditoning?), elevator, beautiful garden patio out back to have breakfast, an excellent dinner or a glass of wine. The hotel is just a...

The location is excellent. The hotel is very well cared for and the attendant at the reception desk was very courteous. We had booked 2 rooms with AC, a double and triple. We got two adjoining rooms with a private hallway in between that looked like it could accommodate two more people. Quite modern for the age of the hotel....

Rothenburg is one of the most beautiful towns in Europe and we wanted to stay in town. But we also wanted a hotel with A/C . BurgGartenpalais provided this. It was in a great location, was clean, served an excellent breakfast & dinner, had an excellent staff, very comfortable room (with A/C! ), had parking and all for a very...

The hotel is quaint and the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was not fancy, but had everything we needed. The decor is dated, but it does give you the feel of Bavaria. The air conditioning and the parking were a definite plus. The breakfast was good, particularly when you eat it out in the garden. The best attribute,...

Sent e-mail advising of late arrival by last train at 10.50pm to ensure they did not think we were a no show. On exiting the train, we were greeted by a gentleman who addressed us by name. To our surprise, it was the manager/owner of our hotel (Jurgen Klatte ) who, knowing the station would be deserted at that late...

Very nice hotel with friendly and personal service. Had booked 2 comfort double rooms for my family. The comfort double is similar to having 2 twin beds pushed together. The rooms were on the backside of the hotel. The rooms were different but both large. Our two rooms had a shared hallway behind another door. This set up provided great...

We received a warm welcome. We were a family of three is a large room with a couch bed. We had tons of space. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The WIFi was good. This is a very old building and it has some surprising comforts for one so old - this including a lift and air con. We didn't...

Our family of three spent 4 nights at the Hotel BurgGartenpalais in their family room. This room includes a central area with a desk, one bedroom with a king size bed, a seperate bedroom with two twin beds and one full bathroom, which is accesed independently from a central hall which helped with privacy of each of the bedrooms. Our...

We spent 1 night at the BurgGartenpalais. We stayed in the 2 bedroom family room. The a/c worked well, the bathroom had been remodeled and was very nice. The hotel is old with sloping floors and lots of character. We were checked into our room by the 75 year old owners father. He rode in my car as there was...

Traditional hotel with a lovely back terrace. Our room was charming with good quality linens, pretty painted furniture and large windows. Very clean, good breakfast and perfectly located for exporting the wonderful town.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is not difficult to find a room for the nights in Rothenburg. One of the loveliest is to be found in the Herrngasse. It goes without saying that to live in a building from the Middle Ages has its attractions. Not luxurious, perhaps, but very comfortable, yet homely in the best sense. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, so that an enjoyable stay is assurd. One of the oldest nobleman`s house with individual and stylish interior. ... more   less
